I slipped my hand into the Greek God’s behind me and pulled him closer. He raised our intertwined hands above my head. Smiling, I twirled beneath our arms twice before having my waist pulled back to Jasper Hale. The first thing I saw was his beautiful golden eyes, bright with happiness and love. Just his stare warmed my body and sent tingles of joy all over me. My eyes traveled down to his perfectly sculpted nose and his plump lips that were pulled into a sweet smile. His honey-blonde hair hung loosely in one eye; the way I always loved it. Under the gorgeous face was an even more gorgeous body. The muscular arms of Jasper were half covered by a tight sweater that showed off his biceps.

He pulled me even tighter to him, cutting my view to just his eyes. I raised my eyebrows, awaiting his next move eagerly. Jasper crushed his lips to mine. Turning greedy, like I usually do when it comes to Jasper, I wrapped my hands around his neck and kissed him even more frantically. Without realizing it, I found my back against the hallway’s wall and my leg wrapped securely around Jasper’s. Deepening the kiss for a fleeting moment, I heard him groan softly into my mouth. I smiled against his lips before pulling away.

“Come on.” I placed two kisses gently on his lips before untangling myself from him. Laughing at his deflated expression, I grabbed hold of his warm hand and pulled him down the hall way to the stairs. I felt his soft lips rest against my hand he was holding when we paused before the grand staircase.

We walked slowly down the stairs, finding no one in the den. Taking a seat in front of the large couch, I took a piece of paper discarded on the coffee table and searched for a pencil I always had in the rooms around our home. Jasper sat on the couch behind me and flipped on the television and channel surfed quickly through the shows. His legs were on either side of me as I began to twirl the pencil at a blinding speed around my fingers. Nothing came to mind to draw, so I began watching the news that he had settled on. Jasper began running his fingers through my hair and wound a strand around his finger, obviously bored of watching human broadcasts. I sighed in content and leaned into him happily.

I’ve been here for three months and it’s been pure bliss. It’s like I had never left. The Cullens had welcomed me back with open arms…well most of them. Alice Cullen, Jasper’s old mate who hadn’t been the most pleasant to either one of us, was still steaming mad. I’m not allowed in a room alone with her; for safety, as Carlisle says. Not that I would want to be with her alone. The hate I feel for the girl that screwed with my mind so much it caused me to run from the man I love and live on my own for five of the worst years of my existence is unreal.

Pushing those thoughts away, knowing Jasper could sense whatever emotion I’m feeling because of his strange vampire ability, I start slowly sketching a small flower in the corner of the page. Jasper’s hand closed over mine and moved fluently with my own strokes. I smiled brightly up at him, which he returned easily with a quick glance down at me. After a moment, I allowed him to take the lead in drawing the picture. I watched excitedly as his hand moved quickly and surely across the once blank page.

My mouth hung open once I realized what was taking place on the page. A magnificent beach with crashing waves that jumped against the rocks was frozen forever inside the drawing. Familiar rocks stuck out of the sand at odd, natural angles that had my heart swell in love. This was our beach. Jasper had taken me to it so we could be alone that first day we had admitted our love for each other. I hadn’t been there, with Jasper, in years. Though I spent four years of the five years of isolation on this very beach, it wasn’t the same without him there. It was an empty, painful pace to be where only good memories had thrived. I wondered idly when we would be returning, if we ever would.
