CHAPTER 2

People meet other people for a reason. Fate? Luck? Who knows. Cherish the times and moments you have with that person, cause you never know when you might need them.

I was excited for today. Calum was having people over to celebrate his birthday, and I'm so glad I could actually make it this year. The past years I've known him, I wasn't able to make it cause I was busy. 

I got my butt out of bed and stripped off my clothing before getting into the shower. Once I was done, I picked out some clothing that seemed appropriate for the occasion.

My first outfit, which was more casual, consisted of a white sweater with sequins, skinny jeans and knee high boots.

The attire for the second, more dressy, outfit was a long sleeve teal dress with black flats.

And the final outfit included a white shirt under my leather moto jacket, black leggings and black/silver combat boots.

I decided to go with the third outfit, because I didn't want to look like a slob, but I also didn't want to be overdressed. I curled my chocolate colored hair lightly and applied some mascara, eye liner, blush and lipstick. Like usual, I kept it more to the simple and natural side. I had gotten Calum a couple beanies and gift cards to his favorite stores as a present, even though he told me I didn't need to get him anything. 

I walked over to his house, since he didn't live too far away and knocked on the door. Cal opened it and gave me a heartwarming hug after giving him his present. 

"You're the best Cass." 

I smiled and nodded, "You too Cal."

"You're the first one here so, you can just chill I guess."

Soon enough, more people arrived. Some people I knew, some people I didn't know. When Taylor arrived, I practically tackled her to the floor cause I had been waiting forever for her. "WOAH WOAH CHILL CASSIDY!" she exclaimed as I made a scene and practically everyone was staring. "Yes those are my friends." Calum said, a bit embarrassed. 

Mostly everyone had arrived by now, except for like 1 or 2 people who were going to be late. Cal had introduced everyone to everyone. I had met:

Leah Adams - (15) Blonde hair, brown eyes. Sweet, caring, responsible. Calum's childhood friend - 2nd grade.

Tristan Krane- (16) Brown hair, hazel eyes. Badass, funny, caring. Calum's family friend.

Michael Clifford- (16) Blonde/dyed hair, green eyes. Funny, sweet, daring, trustworthy. Calum's best friend since 5th grade.

Danielle Chiappsi- (14) Brown hair, blue eyes. Nice, studios, caring. Calum's childhood friend - 2nd grade.

Daniel Brennan- (16) Blonde hair, brown eyes. Show-offy, funny, loyal. Calum's friend since 4th grade. Brother to Dylan.

Dylan Brennan- (17) Blonde hair, blue eyes. Funny, trustworthy, badass. Calum's friend since 4th grade. Brother to Daniel.

 "So what are we doing now?' Dylan asked. I looked around at everyone and no one jumped up to say anything.

"We should play spin the bottle." Michael suggests.

I look at Calum. "Uh sure, I guess we could." he says.

"This is going to be so fucking awkward." Leah says, rolling her eyes.

I laugh as Cal gets a bottle. We all sit in a circle and get ready to play. "We should play spin the bottle truth or dare" Taylor says.
