August POV
I messed up bad... I don't like her. I wouldn't lie to her. She probably thought Alessia was my girl or sum. In reality she is my cousin. I mean we had something but it was before I found out we were cousin's. See, she was put up for adoption by my aunt. I had met her by the deli around the corner from my old house.
Should I drive to her house?
I don't want to go there and she think's I have feelings for her because I don't. I told myself I wouldn't catch any feelings at this school. I just can't. But I can't let her think that I picking someone over her and I don't want her to think that I would lie to her. I guess that means I have to go. Aaleeyah here I come!
10 mins later:
I hopped out of my car and knocked on her door. Her mom opened it.
AM: Hola August! What can I do for you?
Me: Hi Mrs.Petty. Is Aaleeyah here?
AM: No mio she's not here. She said she was going to get breakfast and then going to see Kayla and then to school.
Me: Ok thank you, I should get going.
AM: August!
Me: Yes Mrs.Petty?
AM: Let me tell you something. That girl loves you. I can see in your eyes that you love her. Don't let pain or heartbreak from your past affect your present and future. If you do whoever hurt you would be winning because they would succeed in hurting you because you are letting it prevent you from moving forward. You have to stop lying to yourself. Tell her the truth about the girl. I know that's your cousin. I spoke to your mom. I didn't tell Aaleeyah because I think that's something she should hear from you. I have never seen that girl as happy as she is when she's around you. Please be truthful with yourself. If not for Aaleeyah, then for yourself.
Still with my back turned I stared at the ground, letting everything that she said sink in.
Me: Thank you Mrs.Petty.
Aaleeyah POV:
I hopped out my car and walked into Starbuck's to grab me and Kayla's favorite Frappachino.
"Hi, What can I get for you today?" The barista asked
"Hi, can I get two Cotton Candy Frappachino's?" I asked.
"Coming right up. I like your outfit." The barista said to me.
"Aw, thank you!" I said as she handed me my drinks.
"Here you go." I said as I handed her a hundred dollar as a tip.
"Excuse me miss, you already paid." She said to me.
" I know, that's your tip." I said to her smiling.
"OMG! Thank you so much!" she said as I turned to walk away.
Just as I went to walk off I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going."
"No problem." he replied.
I looked up to see who I bumped into. I bumped into CHRIS BROWN!
"I didn't catch your name ma." He said to me flashing a smile.
