Dallas' POV

That suddenly Iris stood in front of our house was strange. She thought Connor might be here, but still. Right now she is sleeping on the sofa. I know I shouldn't leave her alone in our house, but Heath and this bastard are waiting for me, I'm already late.

I looked once at her before I took my jacket and left the house. Although I should know these woods by now, I still hate to go in them at all. It gives me a bad feeling. After a while I stood in front of a mansion.

Opening the door I faced a tall man without face. He spread an angry aura, it didn't mean something good. Out of his back came tentacles, they look normal and gross, but they're insanely strong. With those tentacles he pressed me with all his strength against the wall. It made a lout thump.

I heard him growling. "What are you thinking? Letting the TARGET into your house? I said, I DON'T WANT anyone to touch her if it's not necessary!" he smashed me against the wall once more. I could feel how my back hurt. And tasted the blood in my mouth.

"You've always been this useless! You are MINE, listen to what I say!" my wrist burned. I know what it was. It was the proxy sign he carved into my skin as he found me.

Back then he was formal, kind of nice, but when you get to know him better, he is like an angry boss. If you don't get done what he told you to, you get beaten up. Either by him, or the other ones in the mansion.

And that's exactly what happened to me before it went black. I woke up on my bed in my room, in the mansion.

As I stood up everything hurt. My shirt was all bloody so I changed into another. After brushing my teeth, what also hurt, I looked into the mirror to see how bad I looked. Everywhere cuts and bruises. I sighed and decided to go as soon as possible to school. Better than staying here.

As soon as I entered the school building a teacher came to me running sending me to the infirmary. I wasn't surprised.

But a few minutes later came Iris in. She looked extremely worried as she saw me. "When did this happen?!" she cried out. She ran over to me and seemed angry. "Who did this?" Not wanting her to worry I shook my head. Suddenly she growled. She wanted to go away again, but I held her at her wrist. She should calm down first.

The nurse told me not to do sports in the coming time, and if I feel sick that I should go home. The usual. As she left, Iris sat next to me on the sick bed. "You alright?" I just nodded again, not sure what to do else. To my surprise she grabbed my hand and linked hers in mine. "You're going to be soon."

We sat there, looking in the air, not knowing what to do. "I heard you're going to transfer next week. In another class I mean." I nodded.

"How old are you?" I drew my age in the air with my finger, because she held my other hand. "18? You're as old as Connor. So why were you in my class?" I shrugged. I couldn't tell her that slender did it on purpose.

"Do you seriously feel sick?" I shook my head. I was used to it.

"Then come on, we both good a day free." She stood up, still holding my hand we walked outside. Slender didn't have to send me to get her; she is so social she would even be nice to this bastard.

Right after we left the school she said she knows an old shop, where everything is cheap and at least twenty years old. I was bored and had nothing else to do, so I shrugged and she pulled me across the city, until we stood in front of and old junk shop. "Falcon Junk Shop" as we entered we met a young girl. She was older than us but still young, around twenty I think. "Hey Beatrice, where's Jack? I haven't been here in two years." I'm not surprised.

"Well, I guess you haven't heard, but Jack died a year ago, heart attack." The smile on Iris' face faded. I wondered but she still held my hand and squeezed it tight. I saw how troubled she was and squeezed back. "Yeah, but well I own this shop now, at least not such a certain asshole.

Iris' POV

"Certain asshole?" I let go of Dallas' hand and he looked around. "Jack's grandson. He's twenty-seven, and thinks he just can walk in here wanting Jack's money."

"For real?" she nodded. She then looked behind me. "So, and is this your boyfriend?" she nodded over at him while he looked at some pictures.

"...no." I said silent, just watching Dallas being Dallas. "Why this long pause?" she smirked. I looked at her with my typical expression. "Just a question. And why does he look like he got into a fight of life and death." I shrugged. I really didn't know. She leaned over a bit more and shouted over to him.

"Hey dude what's your name?" he just pointed at me. She looked confused.

"It's Dallas, he's mute don't be surprised." She nodded understood. "By the way do you have a mobile white board or something?"

"I think, wait." She rushed to the door a bit wider away and searched it. Shortly after she came out with a tablet big board out. She laid it onto the counter and reached with her hands in a box with pens. "So here's the board, if you find suiting pens, you can keep 'em." After a while I found two pens, a black and a green. Then I paid for it and gave it to Dallas.

"Thanks"

His expression was as always, but that was to be expected. "Well then, see you around Bea." She waved at us as we left her shop.

Dallas' POV

The rest of the day we just went to some shops or the park form yesterday. It was already ten past nine. If Heath wouldn't have sent me a message before, that we have the night "free" I would've prepared myself for Slender's tantrums. I was a bit surprised as he wrote me that. He never did this before. Something felt wrong.

"Everything ok?" Iris laid her hand on my shoulder. She asked me while she put in a gum. I nodded.

"Shouldn't you be going home?"

"You don't want me around you?" she asked sarcastic. I shook my head. She sighed. "I still have my problems with facing them all." I knew she wasn't so sure herself who was meant by all.

In that moment I got a message from Heath again.

"Connor Paul me and Sam at the bar, come when u have time."

"Can we go there?" Iris asked suddenly. Maybe it wasn't a good idea.

"You really shouldn't, lot of assholes there."

"Are you going?" I hesitated but nodded.

"You're sixteen"

She smiled. "That changes next week either ways, come on now."

"I really need this kind of distraction right now." She whispered the last part, but I could hear her.

"It's your choice" I sighed. She smiled and said, "Thanks."
