H..h..how did she do that?" Esmeralda asked shocked
"A spell probably" the man answered "she must have heard that you killed many of her soliders".
"She's gone too far this time" Khali said
"You haven't seen me at my worst yet" Alicia said behind them smiling. They all turned and saw Alicia
"You" Khali said and before threw one of her daggers into Alicia heart. Alicia did not flinch even just for a moment. Alicia held the dagger that was embeded in her chest and draged it out slowly while the others stood and watched in amazement. The dagger was covered with Alicias blood. Alicia threw the knife at the man standing with them. The dagger entered the mans chest and came out through his back before he droped dead.
"Don't ever do that again" she warned
"Why ? Hurt you so much?" Khali asked
"No but it will hurt your friends soon enough" Alicia replied with an evil smile. Alicia made Esmeralda and Lance fly backwards just by tilting her head. She did the same to khali.
"This is just the begining " she said and disappeared.
Khali ran to help her brother up while Esmeralda stood up on her own.
"Did you see that? She didn't even flinch when the knife was in her chest" Khali said
Esmeralda looked at the dead man Alicia killed before them
"She sure is a good target too"
"We need to leave this place, there's nothing left for us here" Lance said sternly while mounting on his horse. Esmeralda mounted on hers while khali stood looking around
"You coming?" Lance asked
"Yea" she answered and climbed on her own horse then left the village.
It was already dark so they had to sleep in the woods. The next morning they started moving. On their way lance saw a tree with an apple. He plucked the apple from the tree.
"First apple of the tree. And am the first to eat it"
Khali gave him a strange look that he noticed
"What? Surely you don't think it's a poisoned apple" he asked
"Probably" she answered
"Poisoned apples don't grow on trees" Esmeralda assured her
"If you say so" she said.
The rest of the trip was silent. The only sound made was the sound of Lance eating the apple. Few seconds after Lance finished the apple he turned white and fell from his horse. The others came down from their horses and ran to help Lance but there was nothing they could do. Khali began to cry and scream. A middle aged woman approached them to know what the matter was. They explained to the woman what happened. She examined him for a while
"I can help him just take him into that cave" she said pointing at a nearby cave. They did exactly what she said. They entered the cave and kept him on the bed. The cave was covered with blue stones that glowed.
"You're a witch right?" Esmeralda asked
"Yes" the woman replied.
"How did you do this? I mean i practice but i'm not as half as good as you" Esmeralda continued smiling
"You practise?" The woman asked suprised
"You seem suprised" Esmeralda said flatly
"I just didn't picture you as one who practises magic" the woman said.
The woman brought four candles kept one on Lances head side, another one by his leg side. The remaining two by his sides. She waved her hands over the candles and fire appeared on each candle then she began to chant. The fire on each candle rose and connected with each other. The two at the end connected with each other while the two by his sides connected with each. She kept on chanting while the flame turned blue. Immediatetly the flame disappeared. The woman stood before Lance. Lance gasped and stood up immediately this time with his normal skin colour. Khali and Esmeralda watched in amazement. Lance looked at the woman and knelt before her
"My queen" he said. Now the woman turned into Alicia. Khali and Esmeralda stared at her with terror in their eyes. Flame consumed Alicia and Lance before they disappeared.
