Sobbing uncontrollably, you throw your most important belongings into a small suitcase that is sitting on your bed. You can come back for the other items later.

I can't believe her! Where am I supposed to go?

I will never be able to look at her again. I have to get out. How could she do this to me?!

An angry and upset stream of thoughts runs through your mind. This situation was totally unexpected. When your best friend had asked if you wanted to move in with her, you had said yes. But now you were seriously regretting that decision. After all, you had trusted her. You knew that she thought that your boyfriend of two years was cute, but you didn't think she would ever do something like this.

*flashback to late that morning, brought to you by bucky walking slightly lopsided because one of his arms is heavier than the other*

"'Hello? I'm home!" You walked into the door of the two-bedroom apartment, purse in tow. "Turns out that I didn't have jury duty today!" It had been a stressful morning, but you were so happy to finally be back in your apartment. All you wanted to do was put on a baggy sweatshirt and comfy leggings, and then have a serious binge-watch of your favorite Netflix series.

"Anyone?"

Oh well, maybe she went out or something. Sounds familiar.

You stumbled through the kitchen and into the hallway, exhaustion taking over. Today had sucked. The thing was, you could have used the $25 dollars from jury duty. Although it was a small sum, it was better than nothing. And, you would have earned it yourself. You were simply sick and tired of having to rely on others. You just wanted something that you worked for. The only problem was that nobody was buying art these days.

You heard a snore coming from your friend's room and decided to poke your head in to let her know that you were back. Maybe she would want to participate in your Netflix Day.

Pushing open the door to the bedroom, you gasped. The sight of your best friend and your boyfriend curled up sleeping together was not expected. At all.

You screamed and started to cry.

"(y/n)? What are you doing here? This isn't what is looks like!" The girl said in a panicked voice as she woke up.

You sank to the floor, tears streaming down your cheeks.

How could they do this to you? I thought that I could trust her! We share everything, from clothes and food, to secrets and gossip. And I was in love with him! I wonder if he ever even loved me. Maybe he only stayed with me to get closet to her. Or because my parents are rich and famous. They always get us into parties and write large checks for birthday presents. And here I was thinking that he was going to propose soon.

"Actually, I think it's exactly what it looks like! How long have you two been...?" You remarked angrily.

She didn't even reply, just looked down at the ground.

You gasped and started crying harder.

"GET OUT!" You shrieked at them. You had to leave. Now.

She didn't even protest that this was her apartment as she shuffled out the door, so she must have felt a little guilty. However, the same could not be said for your now-ex-boyfriend, who smirked to himself and followed suit.

*time skip to when you are packing, brought to you by sebastian stan holding a bucky bear*

Even though you were done packing and had already stormed out of the apartment, never to return again (okay maybe for the rest of your stuff), you were still super upset.

Where can I go?

You pulled your suitcase down the sidewalk. You had nowhere to go, no one to call. Plus, gossip traveled fast, and you didn't want your parents to find out about this. Not yet.

A teal VW Beetle was coming down the road. Mustering up the small amount of courage that you had left, you stuck your thumb out towards the road.

So what if it's illegal and dangerous, what do I have to lose?

Thankfully, the car slowed down, and the driver put the window down. The first thing you saw was brown hair. Next, bright blue eyes. Then, a perfect jawline. You couldn't help it- you may or may not have shivered. Okay fine, you did, but this guy was extremely attractive.

You didn't even notice that the skin between his glove and his sweater was not human. Or maybe you didn't even care.

He smiled with humor in his eyes. "A pretty girl like you shouldn't be out here like this on her own."

You huffed, annoyed. "Cut the sarcasm. Plus that was sorta sexist. So, you gonna give me a ride or not?"

"Are you sure you want one?" He smirked.

"Should I be?" You replied and sauntered over to the passenger side of the car, opened the door, and got in.

"Where you headed?"

"Just drive."
