I stuffed the last of my robes into my trunk, locking it. I then walked over to my window seal where my six potted plants were beside a picture frame. It was a moving picture, like the ones back in school. It was of me, Dan, Arlo, and a headless guy. The headless guy used to be Noah, before I got angry and sorta cut his head off... "Phil! Hurry up! It's time to go!" Dan's voice called from the bottom of the steps. He always came the last three weeks of summer vacation. But this year, he came with two new friends of ours. Domino and Cohen. They were Arlo's step siblings, twins, Cohen was the oldest by three and a half minutes.

I hesitated slightly, looking down at my plants before pulling a shoe box from under my bed and putting two in there before making my way down the stairs.

Dan stared at me when I got to the bottom of the steps. "You and your bloody plants, I swear to God." He rolled his eyes, smirking.

"Shhh! My plants have feelings unlike you!" I laughed.

"Shut up, Slinger!" He shoved me slightly, laughing.

"Hey! I got out of my sling a week ago!" I stumbled, laughing. Cohen peeked around the corner.

"Are we ready to go?" He asked.

Cohen and Domino looked exactly alike, despite the fact Cohen was a boy and Domino was a girl. They both had really dark red hair, you could only tell it was red in some lighting. Both had big, bluish grey eyes, which tended to change blues depending on their mood. Mostly they stayed bluish grey. Also, both wore glasses. Really the only thing that set them apart was Cohen was about half a foot taller than Domino. He liked to remind her of that. Constantly. It was pretty funny to watch.

"Let's go!" I cheered, shifting my box of plants as Dan and I followed to the car.

Domino looked to me when she noticed my plants. "Really?" She asked as I climbed in beside her.

She was nearly the exact opposite of her late sister. Domino tended to be a lot louder, she was very outgoing, and could be rude when she wanted to be. She was actually in Hogwarts' drama department. She'd been the lead in nearly every play that she's been in. But, like Arlo, Domino was very caring, gentle, and protective. Cohen was just about the same.

"What?" I asked. "I left most of them at home!" I laughed slightly. She only smiled, shaking her head lightly as she looked out the car window.

The train station was busy. Students of Hogwarts filled platform 9 3/4. Some I didn't recognize so assumed they must be first years. Some however, I recognized too well. I looked around and froze when I noticed a certain figure, standing with his parents. "No...." I whispered. Cohen ended up bumping into me.

"Huh?" He asked, looking to where I was, pushing up his glasses. "Is that?"

"Noah. What the hell is he doing here?" Dan snapped, coming up on my other side. Domino walked up and looked over.

"Be right back, I'm gonna go kill that d-" I didn't catch the rest of her sentence because she started walking away. Cohen lunged forward and grabbed her arm, stopping her.

"You aren't killing a person before we even get to school." He told her, pulling her back to his side. She only glared to him.

"Let's just get on the train. I don't even want to look at him." I said, leading the way to the train, despite the fact I wanted nothing more than you punch Noah's lights out.

It hadn't even started but I knew it was going to be a long year.
