Alex P.O.V.
I wake up in my messy bed, the sheets rolled up in the corner. I had been kicking in my sleep. I pull the covers over my head, dreading the long hours of editing ahead of me.
I decide to edit at the park close to the biking trail I had found myself in the night before. The weird dream, the odd encounter, they all felt unfinished somehow; like the memory was incomplete, or missing a part. I figured that the only way to ease that feeling was to visit the park trail once more.
This time I planned to leave early, so I wouldn't wind up hiding from strangers behind bushes, again. I open my closet, trying to decide what to wear. I pull out a plain grey shirt, black skinny jeans, and black vans. Walking into the restroom, the reflection in the mirror distracts me from my shower. I stare into the mirror, admiring my blue and black hair and green eyes. Those were the traits that people used to distinguish me the most, even though I dyed my hair a different color too often. I quickly finish taking my shower and head out. My penny board shakes under my feet as I throw my backpack over my shoulder. It's a short ride to the park, and it was a nice idea to be able to work in such a peaceful scenery; even if that peace wasn't the real reason I was going.
I wasn't sure what I was expecting to find at the park, but I hoped it would be something I could remember.

I arrive at the park and already I feel like I'm being watched. I sit at a nearby bench surrounded by trees and pull out my laptop from my backpack. After turning it on and entering my passcode, I open up my editing software and pull up my video. I'm only fifteen minutes into editing when I decide that editing is too time-consuming. I look around instead. The beautiful blooming flowers seem to light up the park. I find that where I'm sitting is pretty much the only spot in the enormous park that isn't being attacked by the bright sun. I felt fortunate, since I liked the shade.
I was used to the shadows.
It was unusual for there not to be any people at the park, especially during a beautiful day like this one. There seemed to be only one person here besides me, and I couldn't help but notice their tall, dark figure. I was certain that it was a male, and I breathed slowly as they walked down a path not so far from where I was sitting. I hoped I wouldn't have to run into another mysterious rider, one was enough for me. Unless this stranger was the same one as before.
I set my laptop down on the bench, pretending to stand up and stretch, when in reality I'm observing the stranger. His features remind me of Kyle, but it's hard to tell when all you can see is their back side. My eyes were glued to the human as he became more distant, I didn't want to lose him. I honestly didn't think I needed to watch him so closely, what was he even going to do? Just vanish into thin air? That certainly seemed like an impossibility to me; that is, until I decided to blink.
