i feel soooo bad for not updating for literally a billion years.. I've been focusing on school and just listening to a bunch of music and honestly, i forgot about all of my uncompleted stories and all that.
but it's a new year and all that jazz, so i think i'm going to try and finish all of my uncompleted works and call it a day.
yeah, as in once i finish this and empty i will be retiring wattpad for good. it's been coming for a while, and i just don't want to leave wattpad with a whole bunch of unfinished stuff.
a very terrible and short chapter but enjoy :+)
"So what've you been up to?"
I looked up from my empty teacup and squinted. "You saw me yesterday."
Zayn shrugged, sitting up from the kitchen table. "I mean why are you visiting at 11:00 at night?"
"I missed you?" By that I meant I had been meaning to meet up with my exe but I chickened out so I came to your place to seek refuge.
"You saw me yesterday." Zayn mimicked. He snatched up my teacup and walked to the sink. "You should've come earlier, Perrie and I had a double movie date with Liam and Alexis. Imagine a triple date with you and Harry, huh?"
I heard the sink turn on and plates clatter. "Ah, Perrie. How is she?" Perrie was Zayn's new girlfriend, from a girl group called Little Mix. They were cute, the lot of them, and I had had their new single stuck in my head for weeks.
Zayn blushed. "She's good," I smiled up at my friend and patiently waited for him to finish stacking the clean dishes up and come back to sit.
"Now," Zayn smiled slickly, folding his hands together. "What's going on?"
I shrugged, crossing my arms over my chest. I mumbled an explanation, low and quick, causing Zayn to cup his ear. "What?"
"I was, erm, supposed to go to er... Eleanor's house?" I let out a light laugh.
"You what?" Zayn did not look amused.
"I saw Eleanor the other day and I... I, erm, we... She asked me to come over and I, well, chickened out."
"At 11 at night?" He scoffed, then rubbed his stubbled jaw. "I assume its safe to say that Harry doesn't know."
I nodded slowly, sighing again. "He can't know, he really can't. Not after everything we've been through. It'd be best to let it blow over, ya know?"
Zayn shrugged letting his gaze fall to the table. We sat like that for a few minutes, silent and avoiding each others eyes.
"And why were you going to go see her? I mean, you've got a boyfriend and you're happy now. Right?"
"I am!" I countered, crossing my arms tight against my chest. "Happy, I mean. I just, I don't know. Things with El are just so unresolved and I think for me and Harry to move forward I need to completely end things with her."
Zayn digested my words, fidgeting in his chair and make faces of uncertainty.
"This is just too weird Tommo... Like, you're fake dating Alexis, actually dating Harry, and... secretly seeing your exe behind his back? I just feel like all of this is going to explode right in your face."
I knew he was right, the feeling deep in my gut confirmed it. I knew that every text or phone call from her was like a land mine just waiting to be stepped on.
I just prayed that I would be lucky enough not to step on any of those land mines.
