"Amber-san! Amber-san! Blake-san, why won't she wake up? Amber-saaaaaaaan!"

"Amber-san?! Wake up!" I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. Why won't Cookie just leave me alone?

"Amber-san! We're going to that creepy shop today! Remember, or did you forget again?" The covers flew off of my head. Why is it so damn cold in this room?

"I'll pour water on you!" I gasped and sat straight up.

"I'm awake! I'm awake!" I shivered. Does it have to be so cold today?! Yawning, I threw my legs over the edge of the bed and stretched.

"What are we doing today, Cookie?" My friend sighed as I rubbed my eyes and threw on my glasses.

"I already told you! Gosh, you're so annoying......." I rolled my eyes.

"As annoying as you?"

"I take offence to that." I rolled my eyes again.

"So we're visiting the shop we passed by yesterday, right?" Cookie nodded.

"Do you think you have enough money to buy the key?" I shrugged.

"Maybe. Hopefully." Ah, the struggles to be a wandering Celestial Spirit Wizard.

"I still can't believe you have such a worthless power........" I sighed at Cookie.

"It isn't worthless! We're still alive from that Vulcan attack, right?"

"Yeah, fine. Just get dressed, please." I laughed.

"Fine, but get out." Cookie sighed.

"I'm not even human, though......."

"You're still male. Leave." I ordered while shoving Cookie toward the door. Once Cookie was out, I switched out my nightgown for a red tank-top and black jeans. Slipping on my black leather boots, I stood up and stretched again, feeling my back let out a loud pop.

I grabbed my Celestial Spirit Gate Keys and strapped them to my belt. I sighed and grabbed for my whip. Instead of feeling the cool surface of my weapon, I banged my hand on the table.

"Ow! Wait, what?" I did a double take. My whip was gone. I groaned, quickly putting my hair into a messy bun and grabbing my backpack. Opening the door, I spotted Cookie sitting on the floor.

"Cookie, have you seen my whip?" Cookie sighed and pointed to the coffee table inside the room.

"Did you check there? Where the black thing that looks like a snake is?" I rolled my eyes and walked back into the room.

"Like I'm that stupid. See, it's not he-" I stopped mid-sentence when I saw Cookie was right.

"What would you do without me, Amber?" I shrugged, grabbing the whip from the coffee table and strapping it onto my belt.

"Probably be dead." I said, locking the door and clutching the key.

"I don't see why we can't just stay in this inn for a couple more days." Cookie complained as we walked toward the lobby area.

"I don't have enough money to stay here. We either have to find a cheaper inn or we have to do higher-paying jobs." I replied as we reached the front desk. I smiled politely at the desk clerk as I handed her the key to my room.

"And yet you're going to buy another Key......" I did my best to ignore Cookie's comment but couldn't help but roll my eyes. He's gonna eventually get smacked for being such a smartass.
