DIPPER

"Dipstick! Wake up!"

"Hey, bro! Get up, cmon!"

"DIPPER HELP BILL HAS ME!" I yelled and sat straight up, grabbing the first thing I could, which was just a chewed up pen. Mabel snorted and laughed hard, her short hair bobbing with her chuckles. I pushed her off my bed.

"Not funny, Mabel!" I snap, rubbing my eyes free of crusties. Mabel wiped her eyes free of laughter-induced tears, and sat up. I yawned and looked at the clock. "Mabel, it's four in the morning!" I snapped, and she jumped up.

"It's the last day of eleventh grade! Grunkle Stan and Ford are back for the summer and want us to come back up! Are you even packed yet?" She stood up, looking for my suitcase. She frowned when she found it empty. I felt my cheeks burn as I scrubbed my nails against my scalp.

"N-Not exactly..." I mumbled and she rolled her eyes. She began stuffing everything she knew I'd want into a bag.

"You have know about our trip for three weeks, Dipper Pines!" She crosses her arms and juts out a hip. I huff and swing my legs out of bed.

"Yeah, so?" I mumble, grabbing a clean shirt and a pair of jeans.

"So, you should have been packed! I've been mostly packed since the day we found out! Aren't you excited?" She skips around so she walked backwards before me, trying to brush some of her chin length hair behind her ear. It fell back out immediately.

"Yeah I'm excited? It's just, the last summer we spent in Gravity Falls, it... Ended..." I came up at a lost for words.

"Weird?" Mabel offered with a wide, brace-less smile, her brown eyes shining with humor. I playfully punched her arm and pushed past her into the bathroom.

"You would know, wouldn't you?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Her arms crossed as her hip cocked to the side. I smirked.

"Cause you're a weirdo!" I yell before slamming and locking the bathroom door. She huffed.

"Whatever! You're the one who's a weirdo!" I heard her retreat as I stripped down for my shower. I yawned, letting the warm water wake up my muscles. The steamed up bathroom cleared my sinuses, and I sniffed slightly, loving the smell of comfort and home that I was going to be without for the next month and a half.

Gravity Falls... I had mixed feelings about the Town.

On one hand, it was the town that produced the best summer of my life and sparked my interest in all things supernatural.

On the other, six fingered hand, a temporal space demon nearly destroyed my family and friends. Multiple times.

I brushed my teeth and unlocked the door as I cracked the window. The cool morning air got rid of the humidity in the room, and cleared the mirror. I ran my fingers through my hair, tracing the Big Dipper birthmark on my forehead. It was less noticeable now, because my skin was more tan than it was when I was a preteen. Mostly because of Mabel constantly dragging me out of the house on "Missions."

Which were, more than once, just her wanting me to go buy milk.

I shook my head to loosen my hair as Mabel walked in to straighten hers. I already had the device plugged in. I knew our morning routine by now. She brushed her teeth, now dressed in skinny jeans and a tank top with her favorite zip up hoody over top, the one with the dinosaur spine-spikes on the back and up the hood. Her hair was only as long as her chin, even when straightened, and often fell over her eye ever since she lost interest in her headbands. She had cut all her hair off a year ago to give away to "Locks For Love" and ever since then has loved keeping her hair short.

She put on some brown eyeliner and mascara that made her long brown eyelashes seem even longer and darker, obviously, and licked her lips before swiping on vanilla lip balm. I rolled my eyes and used an acne pad to wash my face, then closed the cap tightly. I carried it with me to my room, and tossed it into my open suitcase. I grabbed some black socks and pulled them on before padding downstairs to see Waddles snorting away into his bowl.

"Morning, ya filthy animal." I said to him, and he gave an extra snort as I put on some coffee. I smiled and pulled out the butter and bread to make toast with, grabbing some money from the Lunch jar. It was the last day of school for everyone except seniors, they still had graduation practice, and that means it was finals day. I only had one final, and it was in Science. Then I was meeting my friend Grant and taking Mabel and her best friend Stacy to lunch, a sort of goodbye before we left tomorrow morning. Yeah, I was excited about going back. I'll admit it. I just wasn't excited about everything that could go wrong.

Like Bill coming back and trying to obliterate us again. Or worse.

I shuddered in remembrance of what he did to my old friend Pacifica's dad.

"DIPSTIIICK!" Mabel yelled, running out and jumping on my back. I caught her legs and stumbled slightly, keeping her up. "I smell da TOAST TOAST!" She hoots, and I shush her.

"It's still only five thirty, shut up before you wake up mom and dad!" I whispered. She laughed just as Dad called from the living room, "She woke us up at three."  I snorted and pushed her off as we ate our toast. She runs upstairs to grab her bag, and I follow, sighing. I grab my shoes and pull them on, my old converse sneakers. I lay back on the bed, and close my eyes. I still had two hours before we had to leave anyway.

Reality shifted, and suddenly when I woke up, it was before Bill again. I was locked inside that stupid cage, and he had taken my bag. Mabel was mouthing off, screaming at him to let our Grunkles go. Bill rounded on her, spewing something about talking less when she was choking on blood, then snapped his fingers. Mabel collapsed, spitting up blood, gagging, throwing up all over herself. I screamed, and Bills eye turned to stare at me.

"What's the matter, Pine Tree? Never seen a little blood?" He said, his voice growing more demonic by the second. I backed away into a corner, shaking and crying as he laughs. "Well, here! Get used to it!" He yells, ripping Grunkle Stan and Ford into pieces. I screamed again and covered my ears as I closed my eyes and buried my head into my knees. I felt two wet slumps fall before me, but I didn't look up. I just kept screaming.  And that's how I woke up.

"DIPPER ENOUGH!" Mabel yelled, and I opened my eyes just as her hand came down onto my cheek. I winced and rubbed my cheek as her concerned brown eyes just kept staring into mine. I whimper, and she hugs me.

"Cmon. It's the Last Day." She says, pulling me up as I shake.

"Y-Yeah... Last day." I mumble, shaking as I follow her downstairs, grabbing my keys and wallet.
