Amanda woke up the next morning in a daze and in her room. She had no idea what exactly had happened last night. She remember she had gone to Aaron's room because Ms. Ball had told her that her father wanted her and Aaron to be close, but why?
He was handsome. She'd give him that. I was hard not to drool all over him. Rolling over in, she stretched her long limbs out only to come face to face with Aaron.
"Gah!" She screamed she scrambled away from him. The floor came up to meet her on her way down as she fell hard on the ground.
Aaron sat up quickly after hearing the thud. He looked over next to him to see just the top of Amanda's head swaying slightly. Getting up hastily, he went around the bed to help her. He grabbed her face gently, but urgently and looked in her eyes to check for a concussion.
"Miss, are you okay?" he asked. His tone was softer than yesterday's. She figured he'd just needed to blow off steam. Amanda shook her head out of his grasp. No matter how cute he was she did not like him a bit. He seemed to be to hostile. Towards everything.
"I'm fine," she said curtly. Standing up, she looked down at him as he looked up at her. She was surprised he wasn't checking her out. Looking down at herself, she realized he was being very respectful by not scanning her body up and down. No bra, just a tank top and underwear. She quickly jumped on the bed and climbed under the sheets. Curling into a ball, she quickly threw the covers over her head in embarrassment.
"You should go, Agent," she muttered from under the covers. Aaron was taken aback by her sudden will to survive on her own, but then again orders are orders.
"Would you like anything else, Miss?" he inquired out of politeness. Amanda grunted from underneath the covers. Taking that as a "no," he left the room quietly. Amanda barely heard him leave when she was already breathing quietly and fast asleep again.
Aaron walked over to his room after deciding to let her sleep, for now. Lying underneath the sheets, he was riddled with confusion. Did they kiss or something last night when he wasn't aware? Then it came back to him.
She had showed up at his door last night when he was throwing one of his tantrums. She had said her father told her to talk to him.
"What exactly did he want us to talk about?" Aaron asked trying his hardest to put on a soft tone. Amanda stood there and shrugged. Sitting on the bed, Aaron motioned for Amanda to sit next to him. She sat cross legged, the covers over her legs. Then held a pillow to her chest, either because she was self conscious of her shirt or because it was just comfortable. Aaron didn't really care. "Is something bothering you that I can help you with?" he prodded. He had no idea what he was supposed to be doing.
Suddenly, Amanda burst into tears. Startled, he quickly went to her and wrapped her in his arms as the sobs began to rack her whole body. She laid her head on his shoulder and sobbed. Tenderly, stroked her hair and made shushing sounds as he tried to calm her. He knew she didn't want to talk about it, she just wanted someone there for her. That someone was Aaron.
After a while she had cried herself to sleep. Aaron picked his head up off the top of hers and looked down at her. Her face was as red as a tomato, her eyes were puffy, her nose was running slightly, and she had huge bags under her eyes, yet she was still stunning.
Gently, he laid her down on the bed and went to go get a washcloth from his bathroom. He came back a moment later and placed it over her forehead. She sighed in her sleep from the cool of the cloth. He continued to dab it all over her face and neck until she had cooled down some
Going back to the bathroom, he rinsed it out and set it aside to dry. Upon his returned he scoped Amanda easily into his arms. Opening his door, he walked down the hall a little ways and set her down gently on her bed. He closed her door and then tucked her in. He was about to leave when suddenly he felt a very icy hand grab onto his. He turned around and saw her. Her eyes weren't even open and she looked like she was still sleeping, but it was her hand that was grabbing him and pulling him back.
