The valley of Tenebrae lay vast and beautiful. It was a clear spring day; there was not a cloud in the sky and the weather was completely perfect supposed to what it was meant to be. There was a slight warm breeze that moved the leaves and seemed to call out your name and beckoned you near. The birds were chirping and the whole courntey side was echoing with the sounds of nature.
Every sight, sound and smell seemed magical simply because it was. All the trees, the animals even the blades of grass were made with magic. There were streams with sparkling clear water, evergreen trees and the occasional child frolicking on the grass.
It was a place were you could get lost very easily and most people did.
Tenebrae was not on Earth therefore it didn't have the same air or feel to it. Not many people knew about it as it was a closely guarded secret between realms. All types of magical creatures came here to relax and freely use their gifts without the intrusion of humans. Though it one did wander in there were inslaved and never allowed to leave.
The place seemed free and earthly but as anywhere did Tenebrae had rules and if you didn't abide to them you were punished and punished severly.
A sharp pirceing noise ran through the air. Everyone turned their heads sharply and listened intently. It stopped suddenly and all types of creatures dispersed.
There was going to be a gathering, a meeting between the leaders of Tenebrae. They were coming to discuss the punishments and actions of the only and only Jayce. He was the world most annoying vampire and highly powerful. His family were high up in the vampire and magical society but that wouldn't make a difference.
I ran down the hill into the massive hall. I knew I would not get there in time so I cheated and used my superhuman speed. The hall was made out of white marble with gold posts and a diamond floor. The ancients stood on the long stage in their brown robes, silent and waiting. When everyone was seated the Grand High Judge banged his mallet and all fell quiet.
"We have come here today to decide the punishment for Jayce Adair who foolishly put our existence at risk." A hoard of hisses and yells erupted at the boy that had just walked out of a side chamber. I craned my neck to look at him just before the riot started. Yep that was Jayce alright. The 16 year old juvenile winked at me but I quickly looked away.
Jayce was confident, handsome and cocky; three traits that in one person caused quite a stir. What made it worse was that he knew it and used it for his advantage. Girls swooned at the sight of him, guys wanted to be him with even a couple wanting to be with him. Jayce took it in his stride and did what he wanted when he wanted. All girls in the magical and human realms fell for his turquoise eyes that shone when he smiled and the longish brown hair that just fell over his eyes making him look mysterious and with-drawn. He worked out alot and as all vampires had a toned body. I once overheard a girl in my human class saying she wanted to lick his abs. He could get anyone he wanted.
Except me.
"Do you wish to name an accomplise?" the oldest vampire asked jace in a loud, threatening voice.
Jayce shrugged and sighed then said in a lazy voice, "well Ash Lillieth was there so yea i rekon that probably makes her one"
My eyes widened in horror as two werewolves came to where i was seated and led me down to stand next to Jayce.
"Hello Beautiful" Jayce smilled and winked at me,
"your guna die for this" i whispered menacingly into his ear before jumping at him and hitting him to the ground.
I punched his face as hard as i could but as i drew for the second punch the two werewolf's yanked me off him, none too gently.
"I hate you!" I yelled at him, struggling as the guards restrained me. Jayce continued to smirk at me but I swear that I saw a flicker of regret and sadness in his bright eyes.
