Luke was still at his family home on the Sunday, when Mara came around to talk to him. Leia looked on at Mara apologetically as she made her way up the stairs to go find Luke, after being given directions from Leia.
Luke was in the library, where Mara found him, where Leia had directed her to go to. He looked up from some work he was doing when she stepped in and stood up to walk to her. "I'm sorry." she uttered. "I came here to talk."
"You don't have to explain. Leia told me about why you're working there. I think what you did was amazing. Everything you do is amazing."
"Maybe you shouldn't think that." Mara uttered and swallowed. "I came here to tell you that this should stop between us. I'm sorry."
"What did I do?"
"You did nothing wrong. You're perfect. You're respectful. You're kind. You really believe in me but... I love you and because I do, I'm not going to risk you getting into any trouble anymore."
She leaned up and kiss his cheek. "I'm sorry." she uttered and went to walk away.
"Wait." he stopped her, placing a hand on her arm. "Thank you for being the best thing that ever happened to me."
"How could you say such a thing about me? I'm nothing. What have I done for you?"
"I felt like a robot, working on auto-pilot until I met you. Every day was different and unique and I didn't feel unengaged. Every day since I met you, I woke up looking forward to you. Thank you for giving me something to wake up to look forward to. Thank you for being the person I came to fall in love with, the way your hair smells, the faces you pull when you're annoyed, the way you roll your eyes, the puzzled look on your face when you're confused, the look you have on your face when your thinking....I mean I can look at you and I know exactly when you get an idea in your head... I also...."
"Stop. Please stop saying this."
"I love you for being always true to yourself even when everyone else was against it. I love that you admit when you're wrong because sometimes people as brilliant as you can't admit that. I like that smile you get when you get a checkmate in chess or when you win at cluedo and I love that you have me saying cluedo instead of clue because everything you do should be the right way to do things even though that's probably not a healthy way to look at someone but I'm intoxicated by you. I love the way you snuggle into the pillows you sleep with. You know you talk in your sleep. You say weird things. I don't care, another thing I love about you. Not to mention I love your imperfect handwriting that I sometimes have to look at for an hour before I know what you've said because you write as quickly as you think which is very fast..."
She cut him off by colliding her lips against his. She spared the kiss of gentleness and Luke had to work hard to respond with the same level of intensity as she tugged on his shirt.

Twenty Minutes Later
"I'm sure there's going to be tears from them both." Han said to Leia as he was about to take out the trash.
"I think she's lovely. I don't see why Luke shouldn't date her." Padme commented. "I mean.... well maybe they should hold off certain things in the relationship until after school, like going in to town together."
"I hope he's alright. That Mara looks like one of those people who'd murder someone and get away with it." Anakin said.
"She's cool." Ben said as he took a big sip of what was left of his juice. "More please Padme."
"That's your grandmother, treat her with some respect." Anakin scolded.
"Sorry grandma. Please may I have more juice?"
"How can I resist your face?" Padme asked and poured him some more juice.
There was a crash suddenly coming from upstairs, where everyone assumed the library was. "I'm sure it's nothing." Padme assured Leia who was worried about her brother.
"Yeah. She's probably just bludgeoned him with a candle stick." Anakin remarked.
"Too obvious." Ben stated.
"What do you know about murder young man?" Padme asked.
"Enough." Ben responded.
"Ben. You're worrying your grandmother..." Leia began.
"And amusing his grandfather." interjected Padme. Han finished off taking out the garbage and came back in.
Ben smiled proudly.
"I'm going to check on them." Leia stated. "Just to make sure everything is alright."
"What if they're just saying goodbye?" Han whispered.
"Goodbye?" Leia inquired. "What do you mean goodbye...oh. Oh come on, she's saying goodbye so that doesn't happen."
"You clearly haven't seen any tv have you?"
"Well no since I have a job."
"Hey I have a job too!" Han argued.
"Being a full time narcissist doesn't count as a job." Anakin commented as Luke made his way in.
"She's gone." he uttered, looking sad.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Leia.
"No." Luke replied simply and got some pre-made sandwiches he kept in the fridge. He left the kitchen, leaving everyone worried.
"He's going to kill himself now. That's called suicide." Ben stated.
"You know Ben has a point. Guys with better mental health than Luke have done that in the past." Han said. "Maybe we should keep an eye on him."
Suddenly they could hear sad music being played from upstairs. "Wow. Luke never did that when Molly...."
"He didn't love Molly though." Han replied. "He was in love with Mara."
Leia sighed.

One hour later
"It's a shame you couldn't put soft jazz on." Luke heard Mara say from the bathroom adjoining onto his bedroom. He walked in to find her reading a chef magazine in the bath, which was covered in bubbles. "I like soft jazz."
"Well when I did guidance, a student told me that when his girlfriend left him he put on sad music. Besides you talk loudly...which I love....and they might hear you."
"I'm sure me talking loudly wasn't what you were worried about." she replied, clicking the t of the last word she spoke.
"So what was I worried about?" Luke asked, walking up to her and taking the magazine from her. "I just want to take this time to remind you that you can't cook." She felt his lips on her neck and she pushed his arm away.
"No but Niko can. I'm trying to see if there is any cooking supplies or instruments or whatever that'll improve the business."
"Niko's the one that committed manslaughter right?"
"No Dimitri did. Allegedly. Did Leia tell you?"
"I had my concerns."
"I'm sure you did." Mara replied and yawned. "You should stop staring Luke Skywalker. You'll burn holes."
"You should stop looking so beautiful and I wouldn't have to stare."
Mara grinned widely and he leaned into kiss her.
