As I walk down the road to the city of Gillian I wander to myself for the hundredth time today why did I get ordered to do this. It is a thought that is constantly bugging me. I'm not normally the person to be ordered for these types of missions. I belonged out there fighting not running messages like a common page.

Then I hear a sound that makes me smile even though most people walking alone in the dark would be scared to death to hear. There was a group of about five men and one woman trying and failing to sneak up on me. They were still a good two-hundred yards behind me. I listened closer and heard another group of five men and one woman standing about one-hundred yards in front of me. I guess that at the pace I am going and at the pace the group behind me is going that we will reach the other group at about the same time.

I know that I should avoid getting in a fight but I have had a very boring day and I can't see a reason not to. So I keep walking at the same pace and in the same direction that I have been.

I get to about five yards away from the group in front of me and I size them up. The five men are all human and in about their late thirties and have the air about them as if they know what they are doing. The woman is an elf and appears to be in command. As I reach them the five men step in front of me and won't let me walk by.

"Excuse me," I say politely.

"He says excuse me as if he is some type of king and has the right to get by," says a man that has dark brown hair and a scar on his left cheek.

"Well you aren't getting by until you pay the toll," says another man who has black hair and a uni-brow.

By this time the other group has gotten here and I see that the men are similar to this group but the woman catches my eye. She is about five foot ten, has long dark blue hair, tan skin, long legs, and is wearing pants and shirt that hides her figure. But it is her eyes that catch me. They are pure black with violet slits in the center. She has the eyes of a dragon I realize.

"What are you staring at," she says with a voice that sounds angelic but has an edge to it as sharp as a sword.

"Nothing I just didn't know there was a toll on this road," I quickly compose myself.

"Well there is so you better pay up," says the Elvin woman.

"You see the problem is that I know there is no toll on this road and even if there was I have no coin to pay it. So you better get out of my way before there is trouble," I state.

"The only trouble there will be is the one you will be in if you don't pay up," says a man in an ugly purple shirt.

"like I said before I have no coin to pay up so let me through," I stated a little aggravated this little party was taking too long to get started.

"then I guess you will pay with your life," the elf said.

"but Danica you said we wouldn't hurt him," said the dragon eyed woman.

"We are not going to hurt him Hinata," said the man with the scar.

"Good," Hinata says with a sigh of relief.

"We are going to kill him," says another man with puffy red hair.

"No," Hinata yells.

"Shut up you bitch," says the man in short boots as he raises his hand to hit her.

Before he was able to finish the swing, or anybody else was able to move, I grabbed hold of his arm broke it at the elbow and hit him so hard that he flew twenty yards away before he finally hit ground and bounced twice then did not move.
