Chapter 6~ cute

This night might not be as bad as I thought.

As we pull into a parking lot Niall's hand reaches for mine and then gives it a tight squeeze. I try to hide my smile an pull my hand away. We both get out of the car.

He leans forward and whisper in my ear, "Close your eyes, it's a surprise. Remember?"

I close my eyes an his hand finds mine. He leads me towards the destination and then he tells me to open my eyes. I do as he says and I stand in shock at the beautiful scenery he ha prepared. There's a small blanket on the grass and a few candles, there's a picnic basket and a bottle of juice next to 2 wine glasses (I'm not legally allowed to drink yet so this is really cute). It's dark and there's nobody else around, the lake right here is glistening in the moonlight and it's just perfect.

"It's perfect." I said. I've been standing in shock for a good 10 minutes now so I should at least give him and answer.

I look over at him and his face lights up. He has a big smile on his face that most girls cry for. Sadly, I'm not one of them. He is really sweet, and handsome. But. I don't think I can do this, I recently got cheated on my my ex-boyfriend, Tommy. We had been dating for 3 years and every time we kissed, sparks flew. He called me his princess. One night, he took me to a club and the school slut, Summer, was all over him. He got drunk and then I lost him, I looked all over the place for him, but when I found him. I was heartbroken. He was in bed with Summer and moaning her name. I couldn't think of anything to make the night worse, but when I got home, there were ambulances and police men surrounding my house. One of them came up to me and asked for my name and then they made my night worse and told me that my mum was murdered and that the murderer was looking for me. My dad passed away when I was 3 and so my brother and me moved to London to get away from everything. We've been here for 1 week now and I already have a job and am in my senior year of school. So I'm almost done. So anyway, I can't get into a relationship now.

"Kacie, are you okay?" He asks. I realised I was lost in thought again and was just staring at the lake with a year streaming down my face.

"Don't worry Niall. It nothing..." I could tell he was worried but I just wiped my tear away and we began eating.

When we finished eating, we looked at each other and he asked me if I wanted to talk about it. I shook my head in a 'no' response and we were silent. He then told me to turn around and I felt a metal necklace being placed on my neck. I looked over at him and smiled. I lost all thought about his stupid boy ban and decided to look past that and them. I wasn't going to let it bother me anymore.

He then said, "Kacie, will you do me the honour in being me girlfriend?" Hope was written in his eyes and guilt rushed over my face.

"Niall. I- I can't." I looked at him with a apologetic look but his face fell. The only other person aside from my brother that knew about my heartbreaking life story is Nina and Bianca. I knew Bianca for a week but I trusted her like a sister. They were both my best friends and I would take a bullet for them.

Niall and I finished the evening in silence, it wasn't an awkward silence, it was a hearty one that Showed that he understood from the pain in my eyes.

We went back to the car and he took my home back to mine and Nina'a flat.

I go there and he walked me inside.

I got there and opened the door while gesturing for him to come into the flat. I'm pretty sure that Nina wasn't here so I just wanted some company.

We both walked inside the flat and then I did something that neither of us expected.
