I sit in front of my Sensei. My father. The one I saw shredder stab before the world was destroyed. He's here. He's really here. He's alive. "You have a lot of explaining to do." He says before he notices my face. "My son. What is the matter. You look.....sad" I go down to my knees, trying to hold back my tears. I've never cried in front of my family. "I-im not sad..... I'm just..... " I look at him and all I can see is him getting stabbed again. His voice snaps me out of the flashback. "Leonardo...?" It's only then that I realize a tear has fallen down my face. He hugs me just like when we were kids. I cry into his chest. All the fear, the pain of being away from him, the sorrow of losing him. "It is alright my son. I am here." I am here. This is what I needed to hear to tear a sob from my throat. I cry into his furry chest. "What is wrong Leonardo?" I look into his eyes. His wise eyes. The same wise eyes I saw empty themselves of life and love close for the last time. "Leonardo, what did you see? What has upset you so?" I take a deep breath. "Sensei, this will sound crazy but we're from the future. This is the past." His brows furrow in confusion for the first time. "The past?" I nod. "The earth has been destroyed by an alien race. We had a truce with Shredder. He stabbed you." I look down at my hands. "You died in my arms. We got rescued at the last minute and time traveled 6 months into the past. We've been searching for the pieces of the blackhole generator to destroy it so it doesn't happen again." There's a shocked silence before Sensei pulls me into his arms once again. "I am sorry my son. You should not have to go through all that." I hug him. "I miss you so much Father" he looks at my face. "Never give up hope my son. Anytime you need assistance or to talk, I am here. In the spiritual realm. Be strong for your brothers and stay safe." I nod. "Hai Father." he smiles and wishes me luck on the mission. "I promise we will come back dad" I see a rare smile from him before we all step through the portal, bound to save Earth once again.
