-Chapter 2-
Ashley lay in his temporary bed, staring at the ceiling because Dakota had left him to look for apartments. Ashley sighed and sat up, staring around the room. It had no windows, but the fire coming from the open door lit up the room plenty. Another empty bed sat in the corner. This was Dakota’s bed. He read the sign that Dakota had posted above the bed, “Love stands against all.” What love was there in Hell? Even the screams of agony that wailed above all other noise were starting to torment him. Perhaps that was because of Dakota’s reaction after torturing the man.
As Ashley stood up, a gentle breeze blew Ashley’s hair through the door. It whispered his name and he ran out the door, “Alicia!” He cried.
He didn’t see anyone out on the nearby street. He brought his hand up and covered his face in disgrace. Why would he see her down here? The breeze sounded like Alicia’s breath, hushing a baby angel who was crying, “Mother….” Ashley murmured, turning to go back into the dorm.
“Ashley!” He heard a familiar voice, “I found one.”
Ashley whirled around, staring at Dakota’s magnificent onyx wings as he hovered. He landed in front of the other fallen angel, Ashley lashed out, “You think it’s okay to just leave me like that, run away looking for an apartment without even INVITING me!”
“You told me you didn’t want to go-“ Dakota began.
“OH, SO IT’S MY FAULT!” Ashley screeched.
“Ashley…. What could possibly be wrong?” Dakota wondered.
“It’s fucking hot down here, and I just heard Alicia say my name, for God’s sake, she’s dead!” Ashley growled.
Dakota stared at him, looking for something to say, “How could a deceased angel reach you down here?” He wondered.
“I don’t know!” Ashley shouted, waving his arms in hysteria.
Dakota hugged Ashley, “Well, I’m here now, but I understand how you feel. Sometimes my mother whispers to me too…. Now come on, let’s go look at that apartment.”
Ashley summoned his wings from his back and flew after Dakota along the streets of Hell. The other fallen one turned left, so Ashley followed him down Elm Street. It seemed like the richest street of town, but also the most dreadful. Dakota landed in front of a mansion, “This isn’t exactly an apartment, Dakota."
“We don’t even have to pay for it!” He smiled gleefully, “Cecilia’s paying for it.”
Ashley coughed, “Satan’s daughter?”
“Yes, that one,” Dakota replied, “She says it’s because of you.”
Dakota looked sad as he said that last bit, “Why me?” Ashley wondered.
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask her?” There was a slight edge to Dakota’s voice, which uneased Ashley tremendously.
Ashley took a step toward the towering house, “Well, what are we waiting for?”
Dakota followed him through the open door, aggressively tensing and releasing his hands. Ashley noticed this but said nothing. The mansion was amazing; it was already furnished and had so many rooms that Ashley wasn’t sure if he would ever be able to explore it all. He walked up some steps in the lobby and reached a secluded bedroom away from the rest of the house. Immediately he claimed it as his room by hopping on the bed and sinking into the mattress.
Dakota came into the room, “How do you like it?” He wondered.
“I love it, it’s ours,” The two of them laughed and Dakota tackled Ashley, knocking him off the bed and grabbing a pillow. He started beating Ashley with it.
“Not fair, you got a head start!” Ashley laughed, disengaging backward and grabbing a pillow weapon of his own.
They started bashing each other with the pillows until a feminine cough was heard. Ashley and Dakota froze as they both blushed deeply, “I see you two are enjoying the house.”
Ashley and Dakota turned scarlet as they turned to see the devil’s daughter, Ashley straightened and murmured in embarrassment, “Yes, ma’am.”
“No need to be so formal,” she walked toward him, her body swishing from side to side.
Ashley stood still as she massaged his chest with her hands and looked up at him, her seductive smile luring him in. They were the same height, which made it simple for Cecilia to lean forward and kiss him, and that is exactly what she did. She pressed her lips into Ashley’s as she wrapped her arms around his back, tangling her fingers in his hair, “So, little fallen one, where’s your sex spot?”
Each fallen angel had his own individual spot that would turn them on a ton, as Ashley began to answer, Dakota ripped her from Ashley, “You have no right to know that, Cecilia,” he snarled.
“Oh, it appears I’ve made someone a little angry….” She waved and strode off.
“DAKOTA!” Ashley shouted, “What’s your fucking problem?”
Dakota looked hurt as Ashley walked off furiously, flying straight out of Hell and through the maelstrom once again.
