My Pip-Boy started flashing. In bright red letters, the word "RECALL" flashed repeatedly.
I had to go. Now. I made my way to the BoS base, and was instantly greeted by Hardin. "So how'd it go in Freeside?" Hardin began with.
"It went pretty good, but I also may have started a revolution." I replied.
"What? Oh well... whatever works.. I guess. We recently while you were out got a transmission from Prywden, in the commonwealth. They are sending us some reinforcements. So, you can go on the ship back to the Commonwealth with them, or make your way there in your own time." I decided to keep my true thoughts vague. "Nah, I'm good. I still have... business here." Hardin gave me an odd look. "Really? You think you can handle The Glowing Sea on your own? Well... you might... after all, you did start a revolution.."With that, I left. Hardin gave me some extra caps to gear up, and gave me the standard issue BoS T-60 Power Armor. I scraped the paint off. I didn't want anyone thinking I belonged to a faction. Next up on my list of Armor improvements was a threat detection system, so I didn't have to guess where enemies were in the green mess that is the glowing sea. Also, I had to trade in that terrible laser pistol. Mainly, because I looked stupid wearing the armor and holding a pistol. A plasma shotgun however, was just the thing I needed.
Surprisingly, the only interruptions to my trek towards the edge of The Glowing Sea were the occasional gecko. Throughout my travels to the edge, my mind had time to wonder. Could I have been recalled by a Raider? Maybe someone else survived? Perhaps a wanderer was checking the logs to find anything on the events that unfolded? No matter. I am returning home, and that is all that matters.
Even though I was wearing power armor, I could still feel the rads increasing as I got closer and closer to the intoxicatingly beautiful green storm.. I'm coming. Whoever you are, I'm coming home. And thus, I began the journey across the grave of the less fortunate, and the home of the Abominations that the wasteland had to offer.
