I changed Scarlett to be Selena Gomez. You can visualize Scarlett to be anyone else, If you want but, I thought Selena would be better.

I wake up at 7am like normal even though it is summer. I take a shower and head downstairs where everyone Is at eating breakfast. My "mom" Is sweet but, don't get on her bad side.
"Good morning Scarlet!" she said
"Good morning Elizabeth," I say with a little smile.
"Call me mom, we are family"
I am still not used to calling her mom 2 years and still don't want to. It is weird I know. She is the closest thing I have had to a mom, I shouldn't feel weird.

"Sorry, good morning mom"
"Better" she said with the big smile
I went and grabbed my favorite cereal 'Frosted Flakes' along with a bowl with a spoon and milk. I headed to the table and started to eat. It was just me,Alex,Ava and Eliza- sorry I mean Mom. A lot of teenagers for 1Parent. See Elizabeth was Married but, got a divorce after it hit 1 year of me and Alex being here. It was silent until mom broke it.
"So, Scarlet.." she said trailing off
"What?"
"Mom, just tell her" Alex said making me more scared. (He calls her mom but, I just can't I don't know why.)

Do they not want me anymore? What did I do wrong? I will start packing, this happens all the time, I thought to myself. Mom broke my thoughts by saying "Scarlet, we are going on a trip but, you can't come."
"Why?"

"We are going to see our grandparents and you know how they are.." Alex said trailing off while not trying to sound mean.

Their grandparents don't like me mostly because I'm not Elizabeth's biological daughter I know, they are weird. They Love Alex but, not me, I guess it is a sign that I am not meant for this family. Apparently they think I am a slût. Which I'm not!

"Yeah I get it, how long will you guys be gone?"
"3 Weeks" Eliz-mom sorry, i got to stop doing that.
"Dang,What will i do?" i said upset because they are only family i have and i only have 2 friends,Alice and she is out of town and Austin, but usually he is busy with Football or family.
"I was thinking you shouldn't be left out on traveling, so i was thinking you..." Mom said trailing off

"What? Where?" i said inpatient but, nice at the same time
"New York, i know you always wanted to go to meet your birth-" i cut her off by giving her a big hug
she knew how much i wanted to meet my birth mom, and this is my chance to finally be on my own plus meet new people, ugh the possibilities are endless.

I know what you are thinking what about Alex, he never wanted to meet our birth mom he says and I quote "She didn't want us, she gave up on everything and started a new life."
