"Eris!" I hollered as i Felt my feet land on something hard. I opened my eyes and sure enough, we were in a building standing in front of two security guards that looked about to throw us in a trash can.

"hi!" Eris chirped "is Seto here"

One of the two large men stepped forward "mr Kaiba has shut this ride down and all the entrances are closed, how did you get in here?"

I backed away slightly and turned to Eris "see, look what you've done now! We are in trouble!"

She smiled and looked around "simple," she said, completely ignoring me "I'm a sorceress! I can do poofing popping, prowling, pricking, pushing, and even poking!"

"that makes no sense, but I guess it wouldn't since you yourself don't make sense! Your lucky I was here or else you all would be in big trouble!" a voice laughed. Out from behind one of the two men stepped none other than Seto Kaiba. I gritted my teeth as our eyes locked and he smirked.

He shrugged "leave it to you, Yugi, to get into trouble at my amusement park! I should kick you out right now but I want you to be able to participate in my tournament!" he smirked again, and to my annoyance, walked over to Azume and glared at her "ah, the rain girl, nice to see you again. What was your name, Asuna?" he put his hand on his head to show mock confusion. I took a step forward, but one go the guards barred my way. I rubbed my eyes, I was very tired all of a sudden.

("YAMI!" Yugi cried, writhing in pain on the floor of one of my many rooms.

I rushed up to him and bent down. A thin, white light was reaching down from the ceiling and surrounding Yugi.

"Yugi! What's wrong!" I asked, alarmed

He looked up at me before being seized by pain again "someone's...trying...to" he pointed to a shadow at the door.

"who are you?" I yelled, about to walk towards the shadow.

The thing raised its hand to tell me not to move. In a distorted, echoey voice it rasped "I am a being that transcends time, I have come back to seek my revenge! Now, you may save your friend, but at a cost." it said. I nodded, realizing what it meant. "no, Yami don't..." yugi whispered.

"let me take him somewhere safe and then you can do whatever you want with me, but I won't let you hurt my friends!" the shadow sighed "oh fine, but make it fast, no tricks or I move into the white haired girl!" I flinched, but nodded. I lifted Yugi gently and carried him through the hallway. I turned right, then left, then right again.

"Don't worry" i whispered "everything is going to be ok" When I was sure he was safe, I went back to the room to find the shadow leaning against the wall. "thank you for letting him go" I said

The shadow chuckled "oh your a far better prize, pharaoh, far better..." and with that i followed it out of the room. "let's begin..." it muttered, then it laughed and snapped its fingers. A black portal opened up and the shadow stepped into it. It looked at me expectantly. I looked at my friends from inside my mind, wondering if I would ever see them again. Rain poured down from clouds that had formed. I was sad, Yugi was sad, our mind was in chaos. I turned back to the shadow and hung my head in defeat. I let the rain seep through my clothes. It didn't matter, nothing mattered anymore. I looked at the shadow, it beckoned me forward. I stepped into the dark portal, and it closed, with me still staring at the spot where Azume had been. Her eyes were sad, but I could not wipe her tears. The shadow took a more familiar shape, a girl, a girl with the power to take a entity from a mind. A girl, with the power to make me bow my head.

"what are you going to do?" I asked

She looked at me, her short, black hair swinging gently. Her fists tightened "I'm going to make them suffer..." she raised her hand to my chest, I tried to move, but found I was frozen, and my legs wouldn't respond. She laughed as alarm creeped into my eyes "I'm going to make her suffer... By making you suffer." she clenched her fist, and I dropped to the ground, unconscious)

"kaiba!" I said weakly,a nd he looked at me strangely

I took another step forward but one of the guards must have tripped me, cause I fell to the floor. My vision blurred and the voices of my friends faltered.

"Yami!" Azume screeched, and rushed next to me.

Seto whipped around to face the guard "I didn't tell you to trip him you imbecile!" he hollered

The guard looked scared "bu-but sir, I didn't trip him! I swear!" he took a step back.

"Im ok, really!" i whispered weakly. I tried to get up, but found my strength to be gone, and I collapsed again "my head...!" I whispered.

Azume muttered something to me but I couldn't hear her "Seto! Eris!" Azume cried "help me turn him over!" Eris dropped down and helped while Seto just stood their, staring and horrified.

Azume turned her head to face him "don't just stand there you idiot, help me!" he reluctantly dropped to the floor as they tried to turn me over, but, at that point, I was already gone.

*******************

He walked out from behind a guard, laughing. Frankly I wanted to smack his face.

He walked towards Yami, who appeared to have sweat dripping down his face. Yami seemed tired, off, sick even. Kaiba shook his head and put a hand on yamis shoulder. Yami flinched but didn't move his shoulder away. "leave it to you, Yugi!" Seto laughed "to get into trouble at my amusement park!" he turned around and shook his head "I should kick you out right now, and I have half a mind to do just that, but I want you to participate in my tournament." he laughed, then looked at me. He walked over to me and Eris and dipped his head in sarcastic greeting. "ah, the rain girl. Nice to... See you again. What was your name again, Asuna?" I had half a mind to smack him, but a lingering thought barred me from doing so

"what do you mean by... Rain girl?" I asked quietly. I shook my head and turned away from Yami and eris. Kaiba turned with me.

"kaiba!" Yami said weakly. Something was wrong. I realized this, and I turned back to face him. Just as i Did though, yamis face turned blank, emotionless, lifelless. He parted his lips, but only a faint moan escaped them. He took a small step, but tripped and fell. He was on the ground, his usual purple eyes now grey and expressionless.

"Yami!" I cried, and scrambled to him. He was lying on his stomach, but his head was turned towards me, his arms sprawled out in front of him. so I pushed back some stray strands of hair and felt his forehead. It was abnormally warm, and his eyes were glassy. His breath was shallow, his cheeks were red as a sign of fever.

"I didn't tell you to trip him you imbecile!" Seto yelled behind me, panic entering his voice.

"bu-but sir, I didn't trip him! I swear!" the guard cried.

Yami parted his lips "I'm ok, really" Yami tried to move, only able to clench his fists and push himself a couple inches off the ground. When the attemp failed he collapsed again. "my... head..." he moaned

"your not ok." i muttered to myself. I stroked his hair a little "don't worry Yami, you'll be just fine" I soothed, wet hot tears rolling down my cheeks.

He smiled at me, a childish, sweet smile that made him look like he was sleeping peacefully.

I turned back around, willing the tears to stay back. I had to help him , I had to!

"Seto! Eris! Help me turn him over!" I saw Eris quickly respond while Seto just... Stood there.

"don't just stand there you idiot, help me." I cried.he looked at me, and I saw something in his eyes that I had never seen before, helplessness. For once in his life he was powerless, and that scared him. His horrified expression lasted for about five seconds, then it quickly changed to worry, an odd expression for kaiba when Yami was involved. Then I noticed him staring at Eris, who was helping me. She had a scared look on her face. Maybe...

He dropped down after calling the guards away. I looked at Yami again. He was fading. Fast.

"Yami!" I shrieked, shaking him as we managed to gently turn him over. "Yami. Yami, wake up!" I cried I put my ear to his chest. Nothing.the Gentle rise and fall of his chest had ceased.

Seto lay back, his face on the verge of tears. Despite it all, I had to smile, he cared about Yami, he really did. His coat was thrown off, it lay a couple feet away from me, the purple heap just sitting there, forgotten. I looked at it, then back at him. He saw me staring and looked away, but I swear I saw tears rolling down his cheeks...
