The rays of the sun gleamed on my face and over my doona. This was my ideal way of waking up. The sun peeking through my eye lids making me feel like I was in a trance of some sort.

Bloody hell! Who was I kidding?! The sun never shone here. Instead it should be, the darkness of the sky reminded me that I’m stuck in this shithole and it I have to get ready to board the bullshit express for today.

That was more like it. That was my mornings. Except this one was especially bleaker than normal. My thoughts kept skipping back to last night with Cameron, then a flash of crimson liquid on white snow, back to Cameron, Mel’s cold feet levitating over the ground, Cameron’s face again. What is going on in my mind?! I swear I should be in an asylum.

At least in asylums people don’t judge you there because everyone is equally insane.

It had been weeks since Mel died and people still believed it was me. God they need to get their heads out of their arses and she the real picture. Mel is dead! Instead of blaming me they should be out finding the real culprit.

People really pissed me off sometimes.

I glanced over to my clock that sat on my bedside table buried under all my crap only to read, 8:30am, Shit I’m late again!

I hated walking into class late, everyone looks at you like you’ve murdered someone. How ironic.

I opened the door quickly and pretty much ran to my seat to escape the death stares from the people in the room.

“Miss Winters, care to explain your tardiness to the class before I continue?”

Mrs Green had always hated me and I swear she is determined to ruin my life.

“Nope, rather not.”

“Well it must’ve been important enough to miss the beginning of my class. So please share.”

“I’m not going to share my personal life with these two faced bitches sitting behind me so if you want an explanation you’re not going to get it here.”

“I will not accept that tone from you Miss Winters” her face began to get red and the vein in her neck began to stick out. I loved it when that happened. It happened so often I even named the vein Larry.

“Before you say anything next, let me guess principal’s office?” I said with an annoying tone.

“You know it” she said with a smile on her face. I should be complaining about her tone instead of mine.

Before I knew it I was storming out of the class room but before I slammed the door I heard a faint remark come from one of the girls that was sitting behind me.

“With those anger issues I’m not surprised that she killed Mel.” She whispered to her friend.

Next thing I know is I have turned around and was marching straight for her and punched her in the face leaving a bleeding cut on her cheek. I’m glad I wore a ring today. She began cry her pretty make up starting to run down her face. Rage ran through my body. I grabbed her by her collar and began yelling in her face.

“Firstly, I didn’t kill Mel.”

“Freya put Lacey down immediately!” miss green screamed from across the room.

“SHUT UP IM NOT FINISHED! Secondly, if you continue to act like that and say that complete and utter bullshit, I’ll kill you next.”

And that was the end of my rant to Lacey before leaving the room.
