The Monster From Within

Chapter 5

Cameron’s POV.

The air was ice cold and with every inhale and exhale I could see my breath before me. I treaded lightly watching where I step as the now visible sun began to set. As I approached the rear of the school I was nervous to what I would find. I don’t even know why I am walking here. I felt something tug on my heart strings as a saw an unconscious girl lying on the icy ground.

Freya.

She lay there limply still in her prime beauty. They way her black hair tended to fall over her eyes covering poisonous smile of hers. They way her clothes fitted around her curves and her aroma of vanilla that made me go weak at the knees.

I don’t know why I felt this way, but it sure as hell was confusing.

I knelt down next to her small body and wrapped an arm around her should and my other arm under her knees. I stood to my feet with ease as I looked down at her with such awe. Her body was limply hanging over my arms as I began to walk forward carrying her to the clearing.

I felt sorry for her. All of these murders happening around town and Freya is the prime suspect. I wanted to help. Find out who is doing this, killing all of these girls. It was causing Freya so much sadness and I hated seeing her like I did the other day.

She had enough going on at home and I just want an excuse to be near her more.

Freya’s POV.

I felt warm arms wrapped around me body as my eyes began to flutter open for me to see Cameron carrying me. Well this was not weird at all.

“w- what are you doing?” I mumbled

“You were passed out and I brought you to the clearing.” His monotone voice echoed through my head which was now throbbing.

I didn’t know what to do. Butterflies filled my stomach as my eyelids began to feel heavy again and I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

“Freya? Freya wake-up.” Cameron's voiced filled my ears as a hand was shaking my shoulder. “You’ve been asleep for 4 hours.”

“What?!” my eyes quickly opened to see the moon above me. 

“After we made it to the clearing you fell asleep.” He said with that mesmerising voice of his. My heart beat began to pick up its pace and it felt like it may explode out of my chest leaving a bloody aftermath.  What the hell was this? Why was I feeling like this?  I’m so confused!

Two days ago I was here with Cameron and I did not feel this way, except for the fact that he has been on my mind most of the time. Holy shit! Did I like him? Haha no that’s impossible. I don’t like people; people irritate me, but that face, those eyes!

Snap out of it Freya! My mind was screaming and chanting in my head.

“Freya? Are you okay?” I didn’t realise I was staring off into the distance like a crazy person whilst being imbedded in my thoughts about Cameron, the guy who’s arms were wrapped around my waist as I leant on his rock hard chest feeling his every heart beat and inhaling his scent.

“I’m fine.” I whispered

“What happened?”

“To be perfectly honest I have no bloody clue.”

“I just went to the back of the school and there you were passed out on the ground.” Concern was in his voice as I began to feel my cheeks go a pink like colour.

Freya Winters, are you blushing? Great now my mind was mocking me as well.

“well thank you for your help but I must be going” I quickly stood up and began to walk away from the figure leaning against the tree that I had bashed my knuckles into the other day.

“Wait! Freya come back!” His voice called out.

I stopped walking and turned around to see him blushing and looking me up and down. I followed suit and began blushing again. God what is wrong with me?

He began to walk closer to me and he placed his hand in mind. Tingles shot up my spine and my fore arm. His touch left my skin tingling like it was on fire. It felt good.

“What are you doing?” I questioned as he began moving his body closer to mine and I could feel the heat radiating off of his body warming me up. He began to lower his head to mine with our foreheads touching, never losing eye contact with his mesmerising emerald eyes. His eyes flicked from mine to my lips and back to my eyes again. His pink soft lips looked so kissable at this point. My knees began to wobble as his place his arms around my waist making our bodies almost touch.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time.” At that point he had lowered his head and pressed his lips against mine. Sparks of electricity travelled through my body as he depend the kiss. One of his hands had made its way to the back of my neck as he pulled me closer. I moved my hands and began running them through his soft silky hair. This moment was perfect, until I realised I was kissing Cameron Lowe.

Oh shit!

I quickly pulled away and a worried looked fell over his face. Confusion was running through my mind. The kiss was awesome don’t get me wrong but it was with Cameron. I barely knew the guy and I was locking lips with his? Oh I’ve really stuffed up this time.

“I’m sorry… I… um… I’m going to go now.” I turned on my heel and walked in the direction to my house.

Before I knew it a hand wrapped around my arm and turned me around as another more passionate kiss was placed on my lips. I looked into Cameron’s eyes as he was kissing me again, he eyes were that perfect and mesmerising that I soon closed my eyes and let the ecstasy of his lips devour me.

What was I doing?

Why was I giving in?

I have no idea and honestly I don’t care because I have wanted this for a long time too, but just didn’t realise it till it actually happened.

We slowly parted our lips panting in unison. I was frozen to the spot unable to tear my eyes from his. As a cheesy smile came onto my face I began to blush again.

“I like your smile. You should smile more, it makes you look even cuter.” I began to blush more at his words.

Before anything else could happen I quickly ran in the other direction as I finally made my way home.

okay guys this chapter was rather tricky cause well i don't exactly know what guys perspectives of girls are so i kinda just went with it lol.
