Not my attack!! - Papyrus

You were walking down the snowy street, a smile on your face and humming along to a song you listened to on your headphones.

You were walking to one of your new favorite restaurants, Grillby's.

You had recently moved into what people called the 'Underground'.

A long time ago humans and monsters lived together on Earth, but one day, they had a terrible war, forcing the monsters below a mountain for hundreds of years.

But, everyone knew that story.

Recently, around a couple months or so, the barrier that kept all of those monsters had been destroyed, a lot of the monsters left the Underground and moved into different human cities. Some humans were respectful and tried to make the monsters feel comfortable above. Some humans didn't, but they were scared of the monsters anyway, so if the monsters asked for something they would still help.

Because a lot of monsters left the Underground many homes were left there for the use of anyone else that wanted them, and since the houses were pretty cheap, you moved into one of them, it was situated in Snowdin.

Why Snowdin? It was pretty cold there, so the rent was even cheaper!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with saving money.

Anyway, as you walked everything was peaceful, so you took off your headphones and put them in your pocket.

You contemplated the white scenery around you, when suddenly.

"GOSH DANG IT, GET BACK HERE YOU!!!!"

You turned your head to the right and saw a large figure chasing after something, another much smaller figure.

The smaller figure's movements were extremely quick, you were amazed the bigger one was almost as fast as it.

As the figure moves closer you were able to see that the small one was a little dog carrying something in its mouth, and behind him ran a fairly tall skeleton.

You watched them run across the road a couple of times, you were thankful that they didn't really have or use cars in the Underground.

You sighed as you continued walking towards the restaurant.

You had barely reached the door when you heard someone shout:

"CATCH THAT CANINE"

And you turned your head to the left as you saw the same dog as before running directly towards you, the skeleton close behind.

You quickly crouched down and grabbed the dog however you could. You went to stand up, but immediately crouched once more as the skeleton still ran directly at you.

He landed just a couple centimeters from where you now stood, and you couldn't help but feel pretty lucky for yourself, even without skin or muscles, that monster looked heavy!

They stood up and dusted themselves off, turning around and reaching a hand towards yours, shaking it excitedly.

"GREETINGS HUMAN, THANK YOU FOR CAPTURING THE ANNOYING CREATURE."

Holy crap they are loud.

"It's really not a problem, what do you need it for?"

They stood proudly as they answered,

"YOU SEE HUMAN, YOU MAY NOT KNOW THIS, BUT I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS. A VERY FAMOUS ROYAL GUARDSMAN FROM THE ROYAL GUARD, WHICH PROTECTS THE UNDERGROUND!!"

Really loud......

"That sounds wonderful, P-Papyrus...? Papyrus."

What a strange name.

"YES, IT IS VERY WONDERFUL HUMAN."

You stroked the puppy in your arms as you stared at Papyrus.

He crouched down slightly and looked directly at the small dog. Was he glaring? He's glaring at the puppy??

"ALRIGHT HUMAN, YOU CAN GIVE THE VERY ANNOYING DOG TO ME NOW."

"But.."

You looked down at the small doggie. Papyrus was so much bigger than it, he could squish it!

"CAN'T YOU SEE?? IT STOLE MY SPECIAL ATTACK!"

Upon remembering that the dog was indeed holding something in its mouth you looked down. It was a bone.

"That's an attack.?"

Papyrus seemed shocked at your question.

"WHAT? OF COURSE IT IS HUMAN, I USE THOSE TO FIGHT AGAINST THE BAD PEOPLE OF THE UNDERGROUND."

He seemed happy, so you played along for a while.

Eventually you realized you ha gotten pretty hungry, so you asked Papyrus for help so you could get off of your 'already starting to feel numb' legs.

He took the dog out of your hands while you were thinking wanted to say, only for it to lick Papyrus' face and then jump out of his arms.

"OH MY GOD."

"Wait Pap, I wanted to invite you for some food, y'know, in Grillby's?"

But he was already running off after the puppy once again. You shrugged and headed inside the restaurant, figuring that the town was small enough for you to invite him for some lunch another time.
