Kiss Me at Midnight

Prologue

Six years ago...

"Please don't go. We can make this work. I know that if you just give us a chance,
we can make a real go of it."

His parting words were echoing in Olivia's head as she came to a slow stop at a red light. He had been promising her everything most women dreamed about. But for Olivia it simply was not enough anymore.

She ached for more in life than settling
down in the same sleepy little town she grew up in. She looked back at the face of her sleeping daughter sitting in the back seat.

By leaving the only life had ever known in favour of a new job in the city, she was
doing the right thing for everyone—Jay, their daughter Leila and even herself.

Now she just had to keep reminding herself of that.

For as long as it would take in order to realise that she was doing what was best for her and those she loved most in this life.
