Laura Carter is Dr. L.M. Carter's (a.k.a. Illyria Prep School for Boys' principle's) daughter. This being said, Laura also have three brothers. She grew up with only boys around her, thus she became a bit of a tomboy.
But when she had to spend an entire semester at the school, she never knew what surprises it would hold for her, including Kyle Tomlin 'The Playboy'. And when a bet is made, it just complicates things.
