The world - Annie x Armin

Chapter 2 - Crush

It's been 8 years since Annie moved next door to Armin. They are best friends and always hang out. Armin and Annie have their own treehouse at the end of Annie's garden, it used to be full of board games but now is full of magazines, books and Annie's notebooks. Annie and Armin share everything and are inseparable. When one is grounded the other sneaks supplies in such as, books are brought for Armin, and Annie's notebook for her writing is brought to her. They both stuck up for each other and now Armin doesn't get bullied, especially when he's around Annie.

Armin woke to a knock on his window, Annie. He opened the window to find his favourite blonde on the other side of the clear pane of glass.
"Get up sleepy head!" Annie shouted
"Shhh I'm not the only resident here, you know," they laughed together
"Okay, okay, I'll leave you to get ready, I'll be round in about 40 minutes, be ready," she ordered
"Yes, sir!" He saluted and they burst out laughing while Annie snook back to her house, he smiled to himself, rubbed his eyes and got dressed. He wore his favourite jeans and a sky blue t-shirt that brought out the colour of his eyes.
"Armin!" His mum called"Annie's here,"
"Coming!" He shouted back, grabbed his bag which had been pre packed full of books an ran to the door, Armin lived in a bungalow so he had no stairs to worry about falling down.
"Hey Armin" Annie was outside the door her black bag slung over her shoulder,
"Hey," his face lit up as he saw her face "let's go," he suggested and they started the walk to school, the usual route.

"Hey Armin, can I ask you something?"
"Uh...sure..." He was unsure of what she meant
"Do you like any...girls?" She asked him with a serious expression on her face
"Well...yes..." He answered reluctantly
"But I'm afraid she'll reject me..." He added quickly.
"Who...?" She asked
"Um...uh....ah..." Unsure of how to tell her
"Come on Armin, I've known you for 8 nearly 9 years, we tell each other everything, don't we?" She cocked her head
"Fine!" He shouted "YOU!"
"Huh...?" Annie was confused "what?!?" She asked
Armin couldn't take it. He'd ruined every chance of him going out with Annie. He ran. Ran the entire way to school. He didn't stop until he saw Eren and Mikasa at the school gates.
Panting he asked Eren for help but Eren wasn't the one to ask, seeing as he's never had a girlfriend. Armin hadn't noticed but during his running his eyes had began to water and now e was crying. Mikasa took Armin's face in her hands
"She'll come to her senses, don't worry Armin, and if she doesn't, she doesnt deserve you." Mikasa wiped Armin's tears and said one more thing
"You're a friend, don't think I love you, okay?" Trying not to sound harsh
"Mhm..." Armin replied barely able to speak...
