Yes I'm afraid.
I'm afraid of what you might see,
When I show you the real me.
I'm afraid the real me will surprise you,
It surprises me too.
I'm afraid of getting hurt,
I've been there before, I've been kicked in the dirt.
I'm afraid you won't understand,
And you'll kick me in the sand.
But I know you have been through a lot too,
How could I say nothing bad has happened to you?
I don't know what your life is like,
You don't know if mine was alike.
The people in this world are constantly judging each other,
Why do we do this to one another?
