I'm eating my lunch in the cafeteria when Rhodes walks up to me. He sits across from me and begins to eat.

It's been a month now since the last incident with Aspen. I haven't seen much of him as we're mostly keeping our space so things are going quite well.

Rhodes snaps his fingers in front of my face and I say, "Sorry. I zoned out there."

He smiles and says, "It's alright. Regardless, there's a reason I'm here."

I rest my chin on my hand and say, "Is that so?"

He nods and says, "I'm doing a kidney transplant after lunch. I need an assistant and was wondering if you'd help me. Downey is taking the day off to be with his family and Zanetti is out of town."

I think about it for a moment and say, "I'd love to but am I even allowed to help?"

"On this one, yes. I've already cleared it with Ms. Goodwin." He replies with a chuckle.

I agree so he says, "Excellent. We should go and begin to prep. The patient is probably already waiting and the kidney will be here shortly."

I nod and we stand. We both grab our trays and take them over to the trash cans. Once that's taken care of we head to the elevators and go up. We briskly make our way to the operating room.

When we arrive I see that the patient is already on the table. Rhodes and I quickly wash our hands and put on the necessary clothing for the procedure. When we walk into the OR the kidney has just arrived.

I put the patient under and then I get her ready for surgery. Once she and her new kidney are ready for the transplant Rhodes makes the first incision.
