"Did you have trouble with the homework?" Riley asked Maya

"Piece of cake." Maya told her nonchalantly.

"You didn't do it, did you?" Allison asked knowing her best friend.

"I don't even know where my books are." Maya replied shrugging her shoulders.

Riley opens her bag and pull out books which Allison could only assume were Maya's.

"Here. And they're heavy." Riley hands Maya her books as the bell rings. The three head into the classroom while Riley begins to speak once more "You have to do the homework, Maya. This teacher's insane, a total nut job. I think there's something seriously wrong with him."

Riley turns back around and comes face to face with the girls' history teacher.

"Hi, honey." Mr. Matthews spoke smiling.

"Hi, Daddy." Riley said smiling.

"Hi Cory." Allison said grinning.

"You're late to your father's class." he told the two, a small frown on his face.

"Oh, don't worry, Cory, you wrote us a note." Allison spoke.

"I did?" he asked confused.

"You did." Allison handed Riley the note who repeated what Allison said before passing the note to her father.

Cory began reading the note aloud "Riley and Allison are late. Deal with it. Oh, you got my signature down pretty good this time."

"Oh it was easy, you write like a girl." Allison told Cory, smiling innocently.

"Okay, let me get back to jamming some learning in your heads, The Civil War." Cory spoke to the class.

"The Civil Bore." Maya interrupted.

"Thank you, future Mini-Mart employee of the month." Cory countered.

"Would I be making more money than you?" Maya retorted.

Allison stifled a laugh at Mr. Matthew's pause.

"The Civil War! Anybody?" he continued.

"A war we fought against ourselves." Riley answered.

"What, you actually studied it?" Cory asked surprised.

"No, I'm actually living in it." Riley said smacking her head on her desk.

"People, people, are we here to learn or not?" Farkle Minkus spoke from behind Riley. Farkle Minkus was a boy the trio had known since age seven.

"What do you mean, Farkle?" Mr. Matthews asked.

"I've been in love with Allison since the first grade. But I'm also equally in love with Maya and Riley. Some might say the great mystery of the universe is who's gonna be the first Mrs. Farkle." Farkle spoke.
