Riley was getting ready for the last concert of her summer tour. After trying on 10 different outfits, she finally decided on a white strapless dress with a brown belt, a jean jacket, cowgirl boots, a tourquise kind of color bracelet, and brown and torquise earrings. After applying some makeup and she was satisfied with her look, she went to the living room to show her look to Maya.
"What do ya think?" She did a quick turn, showcasing her look.
"Love it!!" Maya stood from her place on the couch and gave Riley a hug. Rileys phone rang as they pulled back from the hug. She walked over to answer it. Glancing at the screen at the screen she saw it was her boyfriend Cole.
"Hey Cole! Whats up?"
"You ready for your concert tonight?"
"Yep! I just changed into my outfit!"
"I bet you look hot!"
"You'll see the outfit tonight!"
"About that......."
"Cole?"
"I can't make it........"
"You promised you would come!"
"Yeah-"
"What's going on with you lately?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Skipping on dates, complaining you're too busy to talk... So not like you."
"I'm sorry."
"I don't have time for this. I have a concert to get ready for." Riley ended the call and layed the phone on the stand beside the couch. "That went well."
"What happened?"
"Well, Cole isnt going to my concert......"
"I'm gonna kill that jerk!!" Maya shouted as she rose from her seat, anger crossing her face.
"Maya! Calm down!!" Maya sunk back down into the couch. Riley glanced at the time. "Gotta go!! See you later!"
"Break a leg!!" Maya stood and gave Riley a hug.
"See you there!" Riley walked out the door and headed to the best buy theater in times square, the place for her concert.

Riley walked on stage, a smile covering her face.
"What's up Times Square? Are you ready for some fun?" The crowd cheered. "I need someone to help me sing a song! Who wants to help me?" The crowd cheered, people jumped up abd down wanting a chance to sing with her. "I have a hat full of names from the ticket sales. Whoevers name I choose will get to sing with me!" The crowd errupted in applause. Riley picked a name out of the hat. The person whose name was on the slip gave her butterflies.
Lucas Friar. Her first crush, her first boyfriend, her first kiss.
"The lucky person whos gonna help me is Lucas Friar!" In a matter of minutes, Lucas walked onto the stage.
"Hey Riley!" He whispered.
"H-h-hey." She whispered back.
"So, Lucas is going to help me sing my song Take on the world!" The music started.
🎶Ive been waiting for a day like this to come. Struck by lightning my hearts beating like a drum. On the edge of something wonderful.🎶 they sang. After just a short amount of time, they were singing the chorus for the last time. After the song was over, Lucas gave Riley a hug. Rileys heart skipped a beat. Lucas walked back to his seat and the music for the next song began. Can't blame a girl for trying.
🎶 Here I am again, in the same old situation, why does the guy thing have to be so complicated. I Should've played it cool, instead I made a fool, oh the things I do. Cause I'm young, and I'm dumb, I do stupid things when it comes to love. And even if I always end up crying, no you can't blame a girl for trying.🎶

The concert ended after a couple hours. Riley was walking over to a gazebo where a meet and greet would take place. Her phone went off and Riley glanced at her phone and moaned. It was Cole.
"Riley!! Hey babe!!"
"What do you want?" Riley asked rather rudely.
"Calm down!"
"Just answer the question. What do you want?" Riley answered again, getting annoyed.
"I just wanted to see how your concert went."
"It went fine." Riley once again answered annoyed.
"Whats wrong?" Cole asked.
"You. You're my problem. That's why we are finished." Riley hung up on him. She continued walking to the gazebo. Maya caught up to her.
"Who was that?" She asked.
"Cole. I dumped him." Riley answered.
"Honey. Are you okay?"
"Totally. I broke up with my boyfriend, my first boyfriend is here, what else could go wrong?"
"Lucas still loves you. Its in his eyes."
"We could still be together if he didn't do what he did."
"It was an accident. He didn't mean it."
"He didn't mean it? Look what he did to me!"
"He was young, and dumb. He did stupid things because he was in love."
