"Lucas......" Riley whispered. "Please....... Wake up.."
Nothing...he still lies motionless on the hospital bed.
Its already been 3 weeks since the accident. To make matters worse, the doctors already said about pulling the plug.
"Riley! You're still here?" Susan, Lucas' nurse exclaimed.
"Yeah...."
"Go home Riley...get some sleep.. I'll call if anything changes."
"Okay Susan." Riley took one last glance at Lucas before grabbing her purse and walking out the door towards her car.
Minutes later she arrived home, hopped in the shower, changed into a pair of jeans and a pink tank top and grabbed a granola bar before flopping on the couch and flipping on the TV. Flipping through the channels, she decided on My Fake Fiance on Freeform. It had just started, so she didn't miss much. Riley fell asleep just after The Monkey forced Jennifer and Vince to kiss.
Maya walked in the door to find Riley flopped on the couch and My Fake Fiance playing, one of Maya's favorite movies.
"What time is it?" Riley asked yawning.
"Uh..2:30" Maya responded, laughing at the part when Vince was messing around with Jennifers niece and nephew Samantha and Johnathan in the hospital waiting room.
"Crap!" Riley muttered under her breath. She grabbed her purse and phone and ran out the door without another word.
---At the hospital---
Riley walked in Lucas's room and saw him lying motionless on the bed. She sat on the chair by his bed and watched him. Barely moving, machienes breathing for him.
"Lucas....." She whispered.
Lucas' arm twitched, his eyes fluttered open.
"Riley.." He whispered.
A/N: Hey friends! Sorry I haven't updated in a while!! I had band camp, then a couple days off from band camp, which were spent with my super duper awesome sister/cousin, and a crazy cool concert by SameCity!!! Then back to band camp on Tuesday! So its been hetic lately!
This will probably be the last time I'll get to update for a while. I have band practice tonight, then tommorow morning I leave for a mission trip to Trenton New Jersey to help fellow pastors with Community Day!! (If you're in the area, feel free to stop by and have a little fun! Abiding Love International Fellowship on Genesse Street!) Then to come back to PA Sunday night and first day of school on Monday and band practice on Tuesday!!
