The village had been going well since the nine tailed fox had attacked and we had most buildings up and running, again. Everyone was still sad, though; The Hokage had died to protect all of us. I liked Minato, he was nice and so was his wife but now both are gone.

"Izari, are you ready?" Mother called out from down the hall.

I twirled my bangs around my fingers and sighed as I exited my room. "Yes." Today was my first day at the Academy and I was so exsited; I had distractions from my clan and the Hokage and I also got to see Itachi, again and maybe I'd be able to meet new people and make more friends. I made it to the living room and found my Mother standing at the door. "I'm ready."

"Okay, let's go." She smiled, taking my hand and leading the way.

"Mother, did you go to the Academy, when you were little?" I asked, humming my words from my lips with a raised eye brow.

I felt her smile and look down at me. "Yes, why do you ask?"

"Because, didn't you become a ninja at ten years old?"

"Yes." She drew her reply out with a unsure tone.

"Then, you musn't have had a lot of time at the Academy." I observed, lifting my head, as if I was trying to see through the blackness in my eyes.

"I had five years, because, like you, I started early." She hummed. "I had a shorter time there than the other students but five years is still a long time."

"How early am I?" I muttered, pursing my lips.

She giggled at me, something I hadn't heard in a while. "Two years, you're going to be playing with the big kids."

I groaned. "But, what if they don't like me?" I whined, doubting myself for a moment. "I'll just stick with Itachi." I mumbled.

"Who's Itachi?" She asked, looking at me out of the corner on her eye and with a raised eye brow.

"He's an Uchiha, I met him when I was training and we started training together and he's really cool." I blurted, smiling a closed eye smile as I remembered him distracting me from everything.

Mother giggled at me, her free hand to her lips. "See, you're already making friends." She smiled, reasuring me. "Now, sing us a song?"

"Which one?" I asked, raising both of my eye brows.

"Let me think, 'Safe and sound'?" She suggested the amazing song to bring a smile to my face.

"Okay." I gigged. "I remember tears streaming down you face when I said 'I'll never let you go.' When all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said 'don't leave me here alone' But all that's dead and gone and passed, tonight

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You'll be alright, no one can hurt you, now. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on.  Hold on to this lullaby, even when the music's gone, gone.

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You'll be alright, no one can hurt you, now. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

Oooo, oooo, oooo, ooo. Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh. Oooo, oooo, oooo, ooo, Ahh, ahh.

Just close your eyes. Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.

Oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, ooooo, oooo, oooo.My chakra was creating the music in the backround, making people look and smile as we walked by. It made my cheeks heat up but I didn't think much of it as we came to the Academy, since everyone stearing had a pink haze over their smiling faces, too.
