It had been a week since Kat and Isabelle had become parabatai, since the night Alec and Kat confessed their feelings for each other. Now, there was three couples living in the institute, and Magnus was left to be single. Frustrated, he went out to drink.
When he arrived at his favorite supernatural bar, the fist thing he noticed was the pale figure sitting on a stool. He had never seen this man in the bar before, and he knew almost everyone who came here. His skin was pale and his shoulder length hair the same white gold as Kat's. His eyes, from what Magnus could see, were a dark green.
Magnus approached the bar and ordered his usual, a cocktail with a hint of bite. He hated being the only single one around. He was happy for all his friends truly, especially Katerina, but he still wished he had someone to warm his bed at night. Being bisexual, he had plenty of options. But looking around the bar tonight, no one stood out to him. Except the pale man he'd never seen before.
Magnus turned to study him. He seemed nervous, his long fingers fidgeting. His clothes seemed very plain, a cotton white shirt and dark pants. His cheekbones were sharp and his jawline very noticeable. He was attractive, Magnus concluded, but something still seemed weird.
"You're Magnus Bane, aren't you?," a deep voice spoke. Magnus turned to see the man staring at him.
"Yes that's me. Who might be asking?," Magnus replied, taking a sip of his cocktail.
"Someone who is interested in a friend of yours," he replied, "some one very important to me." He looked Magnus in the eyes, almost challenging him.
"And who might that be?" Magnus tried to keep his tone light and conversational, but he was getting frustrated.
The man blinked and his eyes flashed from green to violet.
Magnus's heart seemed to stop for a second as his mind made the connection. He opened his mouth to say something but found he had nothing to say.
"My name is Viserys Targaryen, and I'm looking for my sister, Katerina. I've heard that the two of you are quite close, that you live in an institute somewhere. I want to see her. And I want to warn her." Viserys Targaryen looked at Magnus with eyes that reflected a long life of running and searching. His face portrayed desperation to see his sister again. "Please, Magnus. I'd believed my sister dead for years since I heard those monsters put her in a tomb. But when I found it, she wasn't there. I've finally found someone who knows where she is. Please," he begged.
Magnus stood up and Viserys followed his action. "Come with me."

Alec tackled Kat to the ground and she screamed with laughter. The two were supposed to be practicing hand to hand combat, but instead had taken to simple tickle wars.
"Alec! Please! Stop!," Kat screeched trying to push him off of her.
"Fine," he said simply, giving her a long kiss before rolling to lay next to her. They looked up at the stain glass ceiling of the training room, the pieces of colored glass forming an image of a dragon.
"The original builders of this institute were huge supporters of your family. Then again, every family in that time was. They wanted to have a constant reminder in their home that the Targaryens were watching over them, keeping them safe." Alec grabbed Kat's hand and intertwined his fingers with hers before continuing.
"When my parents bought the institute, I was 13, and Izzy was 10. My mother hated the stain glass dragon, claiming that the Lightwoods can take care of themselves. She wanted to replace it with an image of a tree. But my father refused. He said that if it wasn't for the Targaryens, we wouldn't own an institute. Eventually my mother gave in. When she died, I used to come into this room and yell at the dragon. 'Why did you let her die? You promised to protect us!' But then I realized that your family had nothing to do with my mothers death. That she died of her own fault. She was ignorant, and though she was a good woman, she always believed she was right. In the end, it led to her demise," Alec finished with a sigh.
Kat rolled onto her side and cuddled against him, cherishing the sureness of his body beneath hers. When she was with him she felt safe.
"Sweet sister..." The familiar voice was quiet in the large room, but she heard it loud as day. Kat shot up off of Alec and froze, staring in shock at who she saw in front of her.
Standing in front of Magnus, who stepped down towards Alec, was her brother, Viserys. Her brother, who she thought was dead, the last true family she had left. She slowly began to take small steps toward him, her brain struggling to process his presence.
When he embraced her, the tears came. She threw her arms around him and bawled into his shoulder. Viserys held her close, both of them cherishing being with their family again.
The other institute supernaturals quietly padded into the room, smiling at the sight. Isabelle could feel her parabatai's  raw happiness through their bond and she began to tear up.
The last members of the Targaryen family stood intertwined, crying on each other shoulders, the glass dragon looking down upon them.
