You

"Wait - wait. So the reason why you were coming home late was your mother?" Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow. I nodded, taking a sip from my beer. Lauren also has one next to her.

We were sitting outside on the balcony. I had just explained to Lauren about what happened four months ago. About how I met up with my mother and every hint else. About why I lied to her. About everything.

"Wow," Lauren breathed out. "This has been the longest four months ever."

"I agree," I said. "With us going back and forth at each other, it got kinda old."

"Plus, we were separated." Lauren noted.

"Not anymore though." We clinked bottles, and I winked at her.

---

"I don't know, I kinda like it being girls only. Plus, we're in a criminal group. Badass, right?" Alexis said.

The four of us set in the black van, Bea sitting at the computers. Alexis was our get away driver for today, next time it'll be Lauren.

I loaded the AK-47, while Lauren loaded her shotgun. I handed her the monkey mask, while I had the bunny mask on. I had the black duffle bag over my shoulder. The van was parked in the alley, so no security camera's could see us.

"I agree." My voice was slightly muffled.

"Alright, I have the security camera's around us disabled, along with the ones in the bank. You have ten minuets until they come back on. I insist you go..now!" Bea finished.

I opened the door, Lauren and I jumping out. We ran into the entrance, and when we got in, a police officer stood by the door. Lauren put the barrel of the shotgun to his head.

"Don't move, don't call anyone. Or I will shoot." Lauren warned, her voice cold. Yeah, I wanted to use a knife and all, but that wouldn't of work. So, we went with guns.

"Everyone put your hands up!" I shouted, raising my gun in the air. "I do not want to shoot anyone of you! Now, everyone take out your cell phones!" The citizen's complied, taking their phones out. "Hand them to me."

I walked by, collecting them all. I checked my watch, eight more minutes. Lauren took her shotgun, hitting the cop on the head to knock him out. He took his walkie talkie, smashing it on the ground. She then took his weapons.

"You got them?" I asked, looking at Lauren.

"Yeah, go do your thing."

I smirked and walked behind the counter, seeing the lady shaking in fear.

"Hey, hey, hey," I said in a calm voice. "It's gonna be okay. I'm not gonna hurt you - if you comply. Just open the door, I'll get the money, and then we'll be gone." She shakily stood up, and I gripped her arm.

Narrator's POV

While Y/N got the money, Lauren was still outside with the citizen's. She whistled as she walked around, her eyes scanning each of them.

It was quiet, people trying not to cry. Lauren paused, hearing movement. She blinked, then turned around. She saw a guy in a business suit, reaching into his pocket.

Lauren sighed, taking out a knife. They were only using weapons if necessary. Plus, shooting them would cause noise. Lauren walked over to the guy, crouching down.

"She said to give her all the phones," Lauren said. "Do you not listen?" she tilted her head, and the man was scared by the monkey mask. "Give me the phone." the man handed her the phone.

"I-"

Lauren cut him off by stabbing him in the chest, once, then twice. She heard gasps, but ignored them.

Y/N hurriedly put the money in the bag, then zipping it up. She looked at her watch. One minute.

"Shit." she murmured, getting up and then sprinting out of the room. "Let's go!"

Lauren looked up to see Y/N waiting for her.

You

Lauren and I ran out of the bank, then climbing into the van.

"Go go go!" I shouted, and Alexis took off.

"You guys made it. Thirty more seconds and y'all would've been caught." Bea told us, and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Did you kill anyone?" I asked Lauren.

"Just one, he was calling the cops." Lauren said, showing me the bloody knife. I nodded as she began to clean it off.

---

Lauren and I laid in my bed, her head on my chest. We laid in silence. I was exhausted and so was she.

"Do you ever feel bad? For killing, stealing?" Lauren suddenly asked.

"No," I shook my head. "I mean, I know I should. But I don't. Do you?"

Lauren looked up, locking eyes with me, "No." she shook her head. "Are we bad people?"

I stayed quiet for a moment, of course we are. But isn't everyone?

"I think everyone is," I started. "Just because we do more extreme stuff then them, doesn't just make us bad. They are too. They've done stuff."

"Yeah," Lauren mumbled. "Plus, we're doing this to survive. We need money."

"Exactly," I planted a kiss on her head. "You gotta do what you gotta do."
