^Katrice with her weapon and casual school uniform. Yeah Hogwarts changed it to this now. OR DID THEY?! One way to find out. Also that feather resembles her patronus^

Lina's POV

Kat and I arrived at the great hall. At the front was Harry and his children. It was more crowded than expected, since the first day I came here, it was only new students. Everyone's constant chatter died down as Harry started speaking.

"So obviously you are all wondering why only gryffindor is called down to the great hall." Harry started. "Well, looking back at the past years, it definitely looks like we best be prepared for anything that comes, and we can't always rely on our magic, potions, and brooms. This being so, my children and I have prepared something for all of you. The rest of the houses will be called down later on in the week for the same reason." He continued. Harry snapped his fingers as the tables filled with weapons of all sorts. Whips, maces, mallets, clubs, swords of various kinds, bows and crossbows, spears etc. "Each one of you will choose a weapon, or rather it will choose you. You will have to walk up to each one, and the weapons will glow. The one that glows the brightest out of all of them will be the one you are destined to have. Some of them will glow and levitate towards you, if your power seems to be strong, so no need to be spooked out about it if that does happen." He explained. "You'll know it's yours because only you will see your own weapons glowing. If it starts levitating and glowing towards you, other people will be able to see it. Once the weapon is chosen, call to me or one of my children, and we will mark it, noting that it is now yours. May the selection process begin." Harry stated.

I walked around, gently petting Astral as I did so. I looked at each of the weapons carefully, examining each of them. I don't think whips are exactly my style, and maces seem to heavy. Bows are only long ranged. Spears are ok I guess. I went to the swords section, the type of weapon I liked most. The swords here glowed the most out of the other types of weapons I already came across. I covered my eyes as I saw a blinding light. I gently opened them, trying to see what's happening. A sheathed sword was floating towards me, glowing a pure white that was so blinding I could barely make out the things surrounding me. People around me turned to see. The sword stopped in front of me, and I took it with my hands. The glow stopped. I unsheathed the sword to see it was a katana. The hilt was black, matching it's sheath. I sheathed it again as I turned around to call over Harry or one of his children, but to my surprise Harry was already behind me. I jumped slightly from shock.

I gave him my weapon and he examined it, making sure it wasn't hexed. He then got out an object that looked like a stamper. Harry stamped it on the hilt of the sword. It left the gryffindor symbol, except it was both a lion and a butterfly. My patronus, perhaps. The symbol was coloured white instead of the usual red and yellow that gryffindor beared. After I had gotten the stamp onto the hilt of my sword, Harry gave me a belt to put my sword in. I decided to put it to use for carrying my wand as well, so I took my wand from up my sleeve and stuck it securely in my belt along with my katana.

As Harry smiled and was about to walk off, there was another bright glow. It was just as bright as mine, except it was a light purple. Basically like the sun when you stare at it from on earth, but the sun rays are an extremely bright purple that you can't believe your eyes. I looked over to see another katana levitating towards Katrice. She stuck her hands out and the glow stopped as the sword dropped in her hands. Harry walked up to her, like how he did with me. He got the stamper out and placed it gently on the hilt of Kat's sword. It left basically the same thing as mine, except hers was a light purple and her patronus was a crow. She received a belt as well, and stuck her wand it in along with her sheathed katana. We talked through the rest of the little weapon choosing session.

"Headmaster!" A troubled student burst through the great hall doors, ignoring the weapons laid out on the table. Harry guided his attention to the student as he frantically explained something that I barely made out. "T-the d-d-dementors and k-killing and deaths and-" the student paused as he turned even more pale than he already was and looked like as if he was about to throw up. I've already heard enough to know that dementors are attacking. I ran out the great hall with Kat, ordering Astral to stay behind and be safe. I heard some people following after us, and the distant yells of Harry telling us to stop. I ignored this and continued on, Kat by my side. Outside at the front of the school was crowded with dementors and other students, new and old.

Currently, only the gryffindors had swords, bows, basically any weapon you could think of. I immediately drew my katana. The little symbol from the stamp glowed white once more, but I wasn't as bright as it was in the great hall. I felt myself transformed I floated up in the air. I raised a brow and saw myself in casual, comfy clothes. It was basically matching my sword. I had a black skirt on with a black top and a red ribbon that was added as a decorative touch. My socks went a bit below my knee, and it was honestly hard to tell I was wearing shoes since it matched so well with the colour of the socks. Basically, same shade of black, and were actually some pretty comfortable flats. I was never really fond of flats but dang, these are super comfy! I saw Kat transforming as well, as she unsheathed her sword. She was basically wearing something that looked like a standard yet cute school uniform, but was the slightest bit fancy. Her hair grew extremely long and as she landed back on the ground, she raised a brow.

We focused our attention back on the dementors.

'Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.'  I thought to myself, remembering when I first got Astral. I actually had Astral before I came to Hogwarts. Basically Astral flew to my window one day with a note attached to her leg. I opened the window to let her in and read the note.

To whoever that may receive this letter,

I have saved this owl from an abusive owner. I took care of her for a short amount of time until I thought she was healthy. I sadly could not keep her, therefore I have wrote this letter and sent this owl on a journey for a nicer, better owner. Wether you be a muggle or not, I hope for this owl to be in good hands. Please take good care of her, for she has already experienced a traumatizing life with her old owner. She is quite peckish but is very fun and loveable. She will need baths about every week or so, for she sometimes likes to go out and fly all over the place and come back all dirty. This happens usually on a weekly basis. Thank you for understanding the situation.

P.s. Her name is Astral, and is from the world of witches and wizards, so she may want to teach you some magic. She is a knowledgable owl after all, and very much wants to share it. In return you will learn magic, even if you are just a muggle, you can learn things you have never learned in real, basic schools. It will definitely be much more interesting, I can guarantee that.

I finished reading afterwards and took Astral in as my new pet, which was how I learned magic in the first place and wasn't TOO shocked about Hogwarts. I felt an overwhelming sensation take over me. It felt so nice and welcoming, so happy and ecstatic. I conjured my patronus. It was different than in the movies. My patronus was out in the open, a beautiful butterfly flapping its wings gently, but it soon went inside of me and I felt a power I've never felt before. It was like I am now one with the summoned patronus. A white glow came from me that matched my sword's. I charged towards a dementor, assuming that I could just slice them with ease, and sliced with ease it was. As my sword made contact with the dementor, a black mist poured out of the cut, like as if it was blood except.. more 'mist like' and black. The only name I could think of for it was dark blood. I was surprised with what all the people who had summoned their patronus and had their weapon (which I liked to call them 'patronus weapons') were doing. Even if one of us were surrounded my dementors, we could spin in a circle with our specific weapon and they would all go 'poof.' It was much easier now than in the movies. I guess since its 'modern days.'

I heard a shriek. I turned as the world was sent into slow motion. Death. A student has just died. A new one in fact. It was only their first day of real school at Hogwarts, and they died.
