Ch. 1: Deep Sleep Part 2

Ensuing to the path, Riku reached an end. And he's confronted by a person. She was wearing a long cloak with shoes both as dark as midnight color of a Ghostabocky*. Facial wise, she had black hair that framed her face in a bob haircut paired with bright turquoise eyes. 'She reminds me of someone...' Riku ruminated, 'Oh yeah, Sora would also sit in the same place. He thought that part of the curved tree was comfy. That idiot...'

Unconsciously, Riku takes a few steps toward her. "Who... are... you?" ,he questioned. He wasn't jiggered when she avoided the question. 'No surprise there...' The girl inquired, "What do you wish?" Riku joked, "More questions." "......" The girl did not respond, in fact, she wasn't amused. "Alright then, um..." Riku pondered... 'What do I wish? What would I wish? Why would I--' Suddenly Riku had a thought... "To recover something important that I lost." ,he stated confidently. He felt satisfied with his own answer. Riku was relaxed, so he closed his eyes. And when he opened them, he found himself on the beach.

'I remember this, Sora went against Tidus, Wakka, Sophie*, and me. He couldn't ever beat me.' Riku discontinued his reminiscing when he notice three figures sitting on the sand. "What's that?" He couldn't make them out. Therefore, he creeped closer. Closer. And closer, until he remembered. These were the friends he just recalled. Tidus, Wakka, and Sophie. "They still look the same. At least I now know he never forgot them. Then again he probably never would forget them. Thank God I haven't either..."

As Riku confronted his friends they, in sync, turned towards him. From left to right they conversed with Riku. "Why'd you do everything with Sora? We would be available and we'd even offer to play with you, but you'd rarely accepted the offers." ,Tidus announced as he crossed his arms.'What's he getting at? I mean that was a long time ago. During those days, Kairi's name wasn't... knowledgeable because she wasn't there. Yet.' "Well, Riku?" Immediately Riku responds. "Because Sora was my best friend. I wanted to be with him!" Wakka raised his eyebrow. "Riku... How far would you go for Sora?" he interrogated. 'How far would I go..?'  While Riku contemplated his riposte, Wakka began to revolve his... blitzball*? 

In due course Riku bluntly replied. "That's a stupid question. I would do anything to keep him safe from the darkness. That includes anything that could hurt him. Because--" "Is it really Sora you have these "feelings" for?" Sophie intervened, signaling she had joined in on the conversation. "Yes these feelings are. My heart knows what it feels and it knows who it reacts to. So don't try to te--" "Have you ever lied to yourself?" ,Tidus inquired. Honestly Riku was bothered because it felt like the millionth time he's been interrupted.

In spite of the fact that he was annoyed, Riku started to mull over the question. I hate to admit it, but... "...I have." In a split second Tidus immediately replied. "I think we're running out of time, but before we leave can you do us a favor?" 'Depends on the favor, but he's 'running out of time', so I guess I'll have to ignore my instinct to ask. Alright then.' "What's the favor?" Out of nowhere Tidus, Wakka, and Sophie gave Riku their casual smile. As if on cue they slowly became translucent. "Remember what we asked you... and your.. responses. Also... take... care.. of... the.. idiot..." chorused Tidus, Wakka, and Sophie. Riku became disheartened. Three of his childhood friends were disappearing before his eyes. And even with his strong urge to help he just stood watched them fade away.

Eventually, their essence fully dissolved and flowed along with the breeze... In the fullness of time, Riku started to search for the exit. He felt for sure that he'd accomplished everything that needed to be fulfilled. After wandering for a while, Riku noticed a man near the shore. Upon inspection it was Ansem the wise*. Finishing the conversation with Ansem, Riku was glad to have heard learned this information; Sora was awake. And he was able to leave.

Riku awoke from his dive to hear what sounded lika a celebration; Donald, Goofy, and Sora were they having a party? Riku began to sit up when he was pushed against the wall. This was due to Sora noticing his friend awake, and throwing his arms around him in joy. 'Something about this seemed reversed.' "Riku you're back, and your safe! ...Thank goodness..." Sora exclaimed. Sora hugged Riku making him feel strange. Riku pushed him away and began to scan him. 'Does he have any injuries?' He stopped when he noticed Sora looking straight at him. To break the silence he responded, "I should be saying that to you. Well, I'm just glad your up and about." Riku then questioned The Master Yen Sid. "Wait... what do we do about situation with the Mark of Mastery exam?" Yen Sid gave a smile. "That's what I was just about to discuss with you two. And now that you're both awake, we can begin." Upon those words, the both simultaneously stood up and walked in front of Yen Sid's table.

BUT..! It's over... BUT THEN AGAIN...! I have to write the next part. Yay. Don't get me wrong I'm SO happy that I'm doing this, but remember we writers have to think really hard. Or not, idk because we're all different. Anyways I will now provide the definitions or explanations of some of these words... Adios!

*Ghostabocky- A wight* that can blink out of sight and fight with sprite-height frights is tight... but smite it with light and it's nighty-nite, aight? Also in this case, he's talking about the Nightmare version. Search it up and hit images.

*Wight- A spirit, ghost, or other supernatural being.

*Blitzball- A spherically-studded ball about thirty centimeters in diameter utilized in a sport unique to Spira in Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, where it is the main available form of entertainment. It can also be used as a weapon (as seen in Kingdom Hearts 1 and again FINAL FANTASY X and X-2.)
