 Dipper's POV

"Grunkle Stan I don't see why I need to go to school here, I mean we're only going to be for a few months," I don't quite see the purpose of  school, so I'm gonna complain to Grunkle Stan until he changes his mind. Sure I'm smart, but what's the point of proving it to adults I don't like and kids I'll never see again. "Besides, I can just take an online course or something," I tried to reason with him.

"No Dipper, I've already enrolled you and Mabel into Nathaniel Northwest High School and I don't want any more butts about it except yours out the door." So I went upstairs and sulked for a few hours before texting Pacifica. Hey Paz, what school do you go to? She replied within the minute, Nathaniel Northwest High School, why is there anything wrong? No, it's just that Stan enrolled Mabel and I into your school, no biggie. She didn't reply for about fifteen minutes and I had assumed her phone had died when I heard an urgent knock on the door. I got up to answer it and as soon as I opened the door I was hugged, more like tackled, by a mass of purple cloth and blonde hair.

"I can't believe you're coming NNHS! But how are you paying for tuition? You're not filthy rich like me, so having enough money is actually important." She looked genuinely concerned which made my heart flutter a little bit.

"Grunkle Stan pulled some strings and got us in for free. And when I say pulled some strings, I mean he probably bribed and/or threatened someone. He probably used some embarrassing photos or his brass knuckles." She laughed a little at my joke and got off me. I made sure Mabel knew before leaving with Pacifica. She'd finally convinced me to ride in her Range Rover, but I still instinctively headed for my car before she pulled me away. We talked a lot in the car and I soon was glad I'd be going to school with Pacifica. I've decided to pull the flower trick a second time and now I'm currently housing a small bouquet of red hydrangeas in my left sleeve. When she turned to get out of her car I reached into my pocket and with a large flourish I pulled out the hydrangeas. She gasped and fell over.

"Oh my gosh! Pacifica are you alright?" I rushed over to make sure she was okay. She sat up and rubbed her head.

"Yeah, I'm good. I just didn't expect such beautiful flowers. I'm just a little faint. I've  never even seen that type of flower before. Would you mind telling me their name?" She gave me questioning look and took the flowers gently.

"They're hydrangeas, incredibly rare and expensive flowers. I called in a favor with one of my friend's dad from Piedmont. He's a botanist and has all kinds of rare flowers. It took forever for them to get here though," I gave her a halfway honest answer. To tell the whole truth, I called in a two year old favor that he'd completely forgotten about and I'm super lucky he still did it.  I'm just lucky to have people like him to help out. "So what can I expect in high school? I'm a little in the nerdy side, so I don't know what to do." I wasn't too worried because I could always hang out with Pacifica but still, being in a new school bothered me. Pacifica filled me in on where I would fit in. Apparently, I'm a 'total hunk' now which will make me popular with the girls, but because I don't play any sports that popularity will be short lived. If I can make some friends who are popular (unlikely) I should stay at the top of the food chain. We ended up just driving around town for an hour or so before Pacifica took me back to the Shack.

"Don't forget school starts tomorrow so you'll have to be ready by seven o'clock got it?" She made sure I knew what time to get up. It must have been later than I thought because by the time I was upstairs, I was exhausted and Mabel was already asleep. I can't believe we actually have to go to school.
