Chapter 2-

I opened my eyes. I looked around remembering I was in my new apartment. I looked outside. It looked like the sun had just set. I looked at the clock hanging on the wall. 7:43! I had to be at work by 8. I got up, searched through my suitcase for a nice shirt, and ran out the door. I ran down the street to the subway. As soon as I got to my job it was 8:22. I quickly ran to the bar of the club and ran behind the counter. I started filling up drinks when the other bartender, Tiffany, looked up. "Your late." I looked over at her, "Yea, I know." It was the 3rd time I was late so I was hoping my boss, Jaime, wouldn't notice. "Be careful. If you're late again Jaime might fire you." she said as she handed a customer a beer. Just then, Jaime opened his office door.

"Where's Kellin! Is he here yet?" He finished looking through his phone and he looked up and saw me standing there handing drinks to a customer.

"Right here, Sir." I didn't know if he sounded angry or not so I was kind of scared to see what he would say. He wasn't the nicest boss you could have. He had a lot of money, and of course in LA money equals power. He walked over to me and cut in front of everyone in the line.

"Kellin, how many times are you gonna be late?" He said with a little bit of anger. I could tell he was amused with making me nervous.

"I'm sorry, Sir" I said looking ashamed. I tried being as respectful to him as I could considering my job was on the line.

"Don't let it happen again. I can't afford for you to screw up." Of course I knew he was lying. He's a millionare. He can afford to get rid of everyone working for him and still be rich. He looked at Tiffany, who quickly looked away when she realized he was looking at her. He looked back at me with an angry yet sympathetic look, "Well, get back to work."

"Yes, Sir." I said. He walked away into his office. The last two times I was late to work, I swear Jaime was gonna fire me. But for some reason he seemed to be okay with my screw-ups. He gets a little mad but usualy it blows over. I guess he liked having me as an employee.

"Wow." Tiffany said after she knew he was gone. "Lets just hope he doesn't come out of his office again tonight." she said with a wink. I was hoping he wouldn't either.

(After work)

It was almost 3am. I was so tired. I unlocked my apartment door and walked in. I looked up and screamed. A man was sitting on my couch. He had longish dark brown hair and he was a little shorter then me."Wow, I guess you made a few changes here." he said.

"What the fuck?! Who the fuck are you?!" I said with a scared expression. "I'm Vic." the stranger said. "Well, get the fuck out of my apartment!" I walked over pulled him up off the couch and pulled him by the arm to the door. I opened the door and pushed him out and shut it before he could turn around and say anything. I locked it, just incase he would try to come back in.

What the fuck just happened, I thought to myself as I walked to my bed. Maybe it was a hollusination from being so tired. But it felt so real. I didn't want to think about it so I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
