The night was was cold as rain crashed against the window threatening to break the glass. The wind rushed through the slightly opened window creating a loud howling sound. The cold air seeped into the room slowly. Zero bounced the crying baby in his arms and made slow hushing sounds to sooth him but to no avail. Loud thunder crackled in the air as a flash of lighting filled he sky before vanishing in a blink of an eye.

Kaname's cry's got louder as the storm got worser. Zero gently bounced him trying his best to calm him but nothing was working. "Please stop crying." Zero whined but Kaname didn't stop. "Look the storm is outside not inside. It can't get us in here." Zero stated and pointed outside the window. Tears rushed down Kaname's chubby cheeks as he was terrified to shreds.

With a deep sigh Zero left the comfort of his old room and headed down to the kitchen and got Kaname some milk and warmed it up in the microwave before heading to the living room and closing the curtains at every window before turning the tv on and switching it to a cartoon. Every so slowly Kaname's cries dulled to only sniffs and hiccups.

Zero sighed thankfully as he gave the baby pureblood the warm bottle of milk. Kaname's red water puffy eyes looked at the tv as if glued to them in interest. The puppets sang and danced on tv and it seemed that Kaname's tiny ears completely blocked out the storm that was outside. Zero smiled and then began gently stroking Kaname's brown hair and yawned in tiredness as it was only the early hours of the morning.

In less then a hour Kaname had fallen back to sleep in Zero's lap. Zero turned the Tv off and headed back to his room where he gently tucked the baby pureblood back into his bed. Zero sighed in relief and then crawled back into his bed and pulled the warm covers up to his shoulders. Zero sighed and sunk into his be more as he drifted slowly off to sleep.

'Damn I need to do some studying tomorrow exams are coming up.' Zero thought tiredly in his mind before falling asleep in exhaustion.
