The Game Of Trust

Part 3

My brother goes back to the waiting room to let me have privacy while I talk to Tanara.
I walk into her room nervously, and close the door behind me.

I walk next to her bed and sit next to her.
She seems to be sleeping, so I tap her gently.

She wakes up and looks at me.
"Hey, girl." I say.
"Where am I?"
"The hopital."
"Why?"
I distract her by giving her some chocolate that I had in my pocket.

She eats the chocolate slowly and closes her eyes.
"This is so good." She says, while chewing with her mouth open.

I smile and fix her covers for her.
"Next time I come by, I'll bring you some more." I say.

"My head hurts." She says while laying her head back down.
I tell her to go to sleep and I exit the room when she does.

I meet my brother in the waiting room and we head home.

I tip-toe upstairs to my room to go to sleep.

I wake up and look at the time. It's 6:00 AM. I get up to get dressed.
I take a shower and get dressed.
I wear a emoji shirt and joggers, and put my hair in a messy bun.

*Downstairs*

Ma walks into the room with her work clothes on. "Bebita, I have to leave to go to work but I left some money for you and Jacob. Oh! and don't forget to feed the fish." She picks up her lunch and purse and walks out the door.

Jacob must be upstairs sleep so I'm just gonna leave him alone.
I feed the fish, and head outside and get on my bike.
I decide to head to the mall to pick up Tanara some gifts.

*At the mall*

I head into the mall and pick up a magazine ad. First I head into gamestop, because I know that she loves games. I pick out Call of Duty: Black Ops, Left For Dead, Super Mario Bros. and some other games. After that, I get her some clothes and makeup. I also pick up some candy, chips, ice cream, cotton candy, and chocolate bars.
After I got everything, I leave to go to the hospital.

*At the hospital*

I quietly knock on the door and walk into Tanara's room. She's in bed, watching some Anime show.
"Hey girl, how's it going?" I say as I walk by her bed.
"I feel so much better." She says smiling.
"Good. I brought you some stuff."
I lay the stuff on her bed as she sits up to get a better look.
She opens the bags and gasps.
"Girl you didn't have to do this! Thanks so much!" She smiles and stuffs some candy into her mouth.

I signal a nurse in the room.
"How can I help you?" She asks.
"When will she be able to come home?"
"Probably this afternoon." She smiles.
I thank her and tell Tanara the good news.
She laughs and goes back to sleep. The nurse said it's just her medecine that makes her that way so I don't worry about it too much.
I leave the hospital and bike home.

I get home and run upstairs to Ma's room to check on her. I step in her room to see her sleep in bed.
I give her a kiss on her cheek and leave.
On the way to my room, my brother stops me. "Ay guess what?" He says with a big smile.
"I'm going to a college just one hour from here."

"That's great J, I can't wait for you to leave!" I joke.

"Yeah whatever." He laughs.

"How is Tanara?" He says.

"She's good, they say she can come home next week."

"That's whats up. I know you happy you got your best friend back, yall don't function without each other." He says.

"Got that right." I laugh before continuing to my room.

I spend the rest of the day watching Netflix and listening to music.

I can't wait until Tanara can come home.
