A/N: In case any of you are wondering, the reason why I use some slang in this book is because its an urban story and I wanted it to sound like it. So some of the grammar mistakes are probably put there on purpose. Thanks for reading. ♡

After a while, it was time for me to go back home. I didnt want to worry my ma.
I say my goodbyes to everyone (except for Rina) and leave the house.
Tomorrow is school and I bet you there's already rumors going around and we haven't even made it to school yet!I take a deep breath and pull up to the driveway of my house.
The lights are still on in the house so they must still be up. I get out of the car, lock it and head into the house."Hey Carina." My brother says with his laptop in his face.
"Whats up?" I say as I close the door and go to have a seat. I kick my shoes off and sit back on the couch."Just making a list of what I have to pack for college. Its important that I dont leave anything behind." He says eventually closing the laptop.
He looks up at me with a sigh.
"Did you have a good time at the dinner or whatever you did?" He says."Yeah, it was okay." I say, before picking up the remote to change the channel.
"Thats good." He says while standing up.
"Mama is in her room asleep." He says as he quietly walks up the steps.
I respond by nodding my head, as I get up as well.
I should probably get some rest as well, because I have school tomorrow.I run up the stairs and walk to my bedroom. I close the door and hear the creak of his matress, signaling Jacob is going to bed next door.
I lay in my own bed and pull the covers up and over my head, because it was suddenly cold.
I close my eyes, awaiting for the dreams to take over my mind.

I wake up to hear rustling beside my ear.
I open one eye and look beside me out of the corner of my eye.
I quietly gasped. Standing beside my bed, there was a tall man dressed in all black rummaging through my dresser. I just sit there for a moment, contemplating on what I should do.
He appeared to be moving quickly, but quietly, what he failed at. I suddenly rememebered that I had a knife beside bed, on the other side of the thiief
I quietly and slowly reach beisde me and pull out the sharp, cold knife and push it beside me. I grab the knife tightly and jump out of bed (in the front of the bed), making the thief jump and turn around.
"JACOB!" I yell loudly so that he can come in here. The man looked frightened.
He turns back around to collect something else in my drawer.
"Give me my stuff back, or I will stab you in the neck." I say to him sternly.
I hear my brother next door getting out of bed, groaning.
"No." He replies.
He suddenly reaches in his pocket for something, making me shake.
Jacob comes into the room and his eyes widen. The man was on the ground with a knife stuck in his neck, and a gun beside him, the one he was going to shoot me with.
I was still standing there, mouth open, fists clenched, and staring at the person I had just killed.
Jacob looks at me concerned."What happened!?" He asks, while wrapping me in his arms.
A tear runs down my face.
I could have been shot and killed, right there. What did he want from me anyways? I just don't understand. Why me?I look at my brother. "I woke up and saw him rummaging through my drawer. I grabbed the knife that was beside my bed and jumped up. I told him to give me my stuff back, and he refused. He started pulling a gun out of his pocket so I ran up and stabbed him." I say and then catch my breath.
My brother looked furious.
"Im glad youre okay. But what was he looking for?" He asks concerned.
"I don't know." I reply.I walk over to the bag he brought, that had my stuff in it.
Inside of the bag was pictures of me, and money. I continued to look through the bag, but stopped dead in my tracks.
He had many pictures of me that I had never seen before.
There were pictures of me walking, showering, outside, at the mall, and different places.
This person must of been watching me, or hired by someone else to watch me.I snatch up the bag of photos and put them underneath my bag.
My brother stands there, shocked as well.I turn on my heels and look at him.
"Do you think you'll be safe going to school today, or will you take the day off?" He asks, realizing that I have school today."I can go. I have some business to take care of." Is all I say before handing my brother my phone.
"Call 911 and tell them what happened," I look down at the man.
"And tell them I have an idea of who started this." I say.Ma was still sound asleep, she would probably wake up once the officers get here.
I decide not to take a shower, because I would be coming home early.
I throw on some regular clothes: a shirt that I got when I was in Chicago, and some black ripped shorts. I put on some plain black and white converse and put my curly hair into a bun on the top of my head.
I dont wear makeup today, after what happened I don't really feel like doing all of that. I grab my backpack and go down to Shawn's room, leaving the dead man on the floor in a puddle of blood.
Shawn was sitting on his bed typing away on his phone.
I get my phone off of his bed and put it in my pocket.
"Did you call 911 yet?" I ask.
"Yes, they on their way." He says.
"Alright, I'm going to head to school. I'll bike there, you don't have to worry about taking me. Bye, love you."
I say quickly.
"I love you too." He says before I leave his room.
I run down the steps of my house, and grab the bike that was in front of my house.
I mount onto the bike and pedal to school.I clench my teeth, thinking about the situation.
To be continued..
