▶Elizabeth POV◀

"No Kris, I can't do that or she'll gonna kill him." I grab my hair in fist and tug it in frustration.

"You may forgot how she almost dried his blood just because I try to get out from this hell." Kris sigh and shook his head. He is my best friend which I found in the mystic forest and we become friend after I treat his wound that cause by my mother. His father is an Alpha, which is mean the son of the leader of the werewolf clan that my mother hate so much.

"I just can't understand Mathilda. Why did she keep him?? He got no use for her. The damn human with a weak body." Kris chuckles but stop in instant when I shot a dagger look to him.

"We're talking about my dad in here!"

"Sorry." He muttered. I sigh and tapping the table with my finger when mother entered my room abruptly and Kris posture straightened with a hatred look in his eyes.

"Well, as if not the Alpha's son. What are you doing in my castle?!" Stern voice of her make me cringe.

"Stop it mother. You know he is my friend." I uttered. Mother turn her look to me and snicker.

"Oh my beloved daughter, I almost forgot you there. Now would you want to explain why did you do that kind of act Elizabeth?" My breath hitched at my throat. Mother totally hate the fact that our family fall in love with a normal human being. But she never say a word when Felicia got laid with any male vampires. Its happen every time.

"Mother, I'm in love with him." I speak as I gain a strength out of nowhere. Thinking about how will she react I suddenly regret it.

"I'll just pretend that I never heard that but .. "

"Then why did you let Felicia have him instead??" I groan in frustration. Maybe a little bit of jealousy. Kris seems not to interfere with our argument but still in his standby mode. As if he is ready to attack her.

"Felicia, obviously see him as a food while you see him as a man. I don't want to see you carry on his child anytime soon which led you to my state." Her voice was slow but her eyes is fuming in red.

"I won't be like you mother. I'm not a vampire!! I half blood and please don't drag me to your world!!" I can sense Kris hand on my back, soothing me which is start to streaming down the tears.

"For you to notice dear, you already in my world since you're born and I'm glad you noticed that you're half blood that makes you speacial and makes a little fly want to get close at stab your back maybe with their claws." she glare at Kris while talking and I can't help but glance at him who is smirking to mother.

"I never kill my friends." He emphasized. I don't know why but I just let out the breath that I never know I was holding.

"Like I would believe that." She turned on her heel wanting to leave but stop and glance to us over her shoulder.

"I forgot to tell you since you distract me with this little dog." Kris growl to her words and his eyes burn in hatred but she just show her smirk.

"Your father is dying." And she went out. Slamming the door as I fell to the floor and Kris hauled my arm to support me.

"S-she ... probably lying." Kris try to calm me down as I cried out of loud but the last visit I pay for him, he was in the critical state. His blood is draining but his smile is so comforting. As if he never regret for being in his situation now.
