Scarlett:
I sit up, looking at the boy in front of me. "Who are you?" I ask. "I'm Declan Winters. I'm your tour guide basically, also I'm responsible for you pretty much since I was the one sent here to see to you." The boy says. "Oh. Um, where am I?" I ask calmly. "Not Hell, close to it, but not exactly. You're not in Heaven either. Before you ask, you're not a ghost. You are still flesh and bones, you still have blood running through your veins. You're visible to the others like us." Declan says. "Oh. So I'm alive?" I ask. "No." Declan answers bluntly. "But-"
Declan stops me by holding up his finger. "You're dead. But you look alive, and may feel alive in a way. But trust me, you're dead. Regular humans can't see us. They can feel us if we do something to them, but they'll never see us." He says. "Oh..." I say.
After a moment of silence, I look in his eyes. "Declan? Why are your eyes that color?" I ask. He smiles. "All of us here have weird eye colors. Go look in the mirror. Your new eye color will show up when you see your reflection. After you take one look in that mirror, your eyes will stay their new color." Declan says. I walk to the mirror.
I get close to the glass, studying my eyes. The sky blue color darkens, eventually turning into an orchid purple color. I gasp.Declan seems surprised by the color as well. He takes my hand, leading me away from my mirror. "Your eyes are purple... I don't... I don't get it... I've never seen anyone here with purple eyes..." He says. "Is it bad?" I ask. "I don't know. I hope not." Declan answers.
I look at his neck. A tattoo of a lightning bolt has caught my attention. "I died from electricity. In case you're wondering..." Declan says hesitantly. "Oh." I say. He nods. "You have a tattoo also somewhere on your body of how you died." He explains. I remain silent.
Declan walks around me, examining my body with his eyes. He gets to the left side of my face and stops. "Ah. Here it is." He says. He tucks my hair behind my ear, and traces a shape on my left temple. "What is it?" I ask. "A bullet." Declan answers.
I touch my face, feeling the outline of the tattoo. "Hey, now that I've explained everything to you, would you like to take a tour?" Declan asks. "Sure." I answer.
Declan gently takes my hand, and leads me out of the room. "If you start to feel electricity coursing through your hand, tell me to let go." Declan says. I nod.
He walks with me down the hallway, and we take a left. I look around the room we're in, seeing all kinds of art. "Is this a gallery of some sort?" I ask. Declan nods. He brings me to another room. "This is the living room. Its where you can just watch tv or something with other Inimicans." Declan says. "What was the room I woke up in?" I ask. "That's your bedroom now." Declan says. "Oh."
We continue walking through the mansion, looking at the kitchen, the den, the dining room, and we stop at the headmaster's door. He greets me with a smile, welcoming me to McCarthy Mansion.
On our way outside, I feel my body being pushed against a wall. I let out a small frightened scream. "Hush darling I won't hurt you." A deep husky voice mutters. I gasp. "Who are you?" I ask. "The man of your dreams." The voice says. I feel my cheeks turn red. "When are you gonna open your eyes?" The man asks. Wait what?
I open my eyes, and I feel my heart beat quicken. A tall man stands in front of me, short black hair, big red eyes. His jawline looks like you could cut yourself on it, and his smirk was sexy. "See Declan? She likes me already." He says.
