Patrick:
I catch Kyndall's limp body as she falls backwards. "Kyndall!" The girl, I think her name is Scarlett, calls. She's across the room in a second, looking at Kyndall's face. "Move." She tells me, and I reluctantly let go of Kyndall. Scarlett has her in her arms, and she picks her up, laying her on the bed. Declan follows her, sitting on the foot of it. Scarlett grabs a piece of paper from her bedside table, and fans Kyndall's face with it. Soon, her eyes flutter open. I sigh in relief.
"What happened...?" She sighs. "You fainted." Scarlett says. Kyndall gasps as she looks up into Scarlett's eyes. "It's you... You're the girl with purple eyes... Scarlett... Is it really you?" She asks. Scarlett nods. "It's really me Kyndall." She breathes. Kyndall starts crying, and hugs her neck. "How did you get here? I missed you..." She sobs. Scarlett hugs her back. "I died at the wedding. Just like you did... I was hiding and I saw Kyle shoot you." Scarlett says, holding back her own tears. "Then why are you here?" Kyndall asks. "Kyle shot Gwen, and I lost it. I ran to her, crying, and calling her name. Then everything went black." Scarlett explains. "I'm so sorry Scarlett..." Kyndall sobs. "Me too..." Scarlett says softly. Declan looks at me, and I nod. He and I leave the room while the girls have their reunion.
"Sad story." He says after he shuts the door. "Indeed." I reply. Declan runs his fingers through his hair. "What is with her eyes?" I ask. "Scarlett's? I have no idea... But why were Kyndall's eyes blue?" Declan asks. I raise an eyebrow. "Blue? No. Her eyes are silver." I say. "Patrick, they were blue." Declan says. "But, they were silver when she woke up. And they're silver around me." I say. "I think something's wrong with her, maybe you should see the headmaster..." Declan says. "Fine..." I say.
After Kyndall returns from Scarlett's room, I take her to Caliburn. "Hello Patrick." He says with enthusiasm. "Hello sir. This is Kyndall." I say. Kyndall waves. "Hello. Is there a problem?" Caliburn asks. "What color do you see in her eyes?" I ask. He studies her. "I see blue. Why?" He asks. "They were silver her first day." I answer. "Hmm... she might need more time to adjust. Give her about a week." Caliburn says. "Okay sir. Thank you." I say. He nods, and we leave. "Patrick, will I be okay?" Kyndall asks. I sigh. "I hope so Kyndall. I sure hope so."
