Three days after Kyndall's arrival
Kyndall:
This place is interesting. I've never seen anything like it. I haven't ventured out of my room yet, but Patrick and Joe visit me sometimes. They tell me gossip around the manor too, which I find interesting. For a while now, I've heard about a girl here with purple eyes, and everyone believes she's special. Nobody knows her name, she only talks to two people I've heard, and that's someone named Declan, and someone named Arlo. Joe seems to know more about it than Patrick though, which I find a little weird.
Right now, Patrick is sitting with me. "What's on your mind?" He asks. "I've been thinking about that girl everyone's talking about. I want to see who she is." I answer honestly. "Oh. We can go find her if you want. I know Declan and I can ask him if he knows where she is." Patrick offers. I nod.
He stands up, taking my hand. We exit my room, and walk to a brown door. Patrick knocks a few times. "Who is it?" A male voice asks. "Patrick, and a friend." Patrick answers. The door opens, and I look at the guy who opened it. He has straight blonde hair, a sort of big nose, almond shaped amber eyes, and a sharp jawline. "You must be Declan." I say. "I am. And you are...?" Declan asks. "Kyndall." I answer. "Ah. Cool. So Patrick, what do you need?" He asks. "Do you know where the girl is that everyone is talking about?" Patrick asks. "Follow me." Declan says. Patrick releases my hand, and we follow Declan.
We turn a few corners, soon getting to a blue door. Declan knocks. "Come in." I hear. Declan opens the door, and a girl stands at the window, looking out. She's wearing shorts and a tank top, no shoes on her feet. Her curly blonde hair is pulled up in a messy bun, but I can't see her face. "Scarlett, I have people wanting to see you." Declan says. Wait. Her name is Scarlett?
She turns around, and I faint.
