Annabeth

Annabeth's POV

It was Annabeth's third day at her summer internship. She had been trusted to care for and help three patients: Percy Jackson, Octavian, and Rachel Elizabeth Dare. She was currently busy bringing Octavian his daily meds, when she heard a high pitched yell. She assured Octavian that there were no bears in his closet and ran to the sound. It had been another nurse, tending to Percy.

"You've drenched me in water!" She yelled

"YOU CAN'T CONTAIN THE ACTUAL SON OF THE SEAS" Percy yelled, playing with his fishtank.

The nurse told Annabeth to reason with Percy. She had been the only one who could. Percy only seemed to listen to her.

"Percy, hun, it isn't nice to splash." She said, voice stern but still harsh.

"But she was going to give me the medicine that tastes like hot garbage..." He said, looking quite ashamed.

"You know you need it. Now c'mere, I'll give it to you." She said.

Percy nodded and allowed her to give him the gooey syrup.

"Was it that bad?" She asked.

"Yes. But you're very pretty so it doesn't really matter." He said in his usual child like tone.

Annabeth felt herself blush at his kind words.

"Thank you, Percy."

"No need! You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen." He said, grinning from ear to ear.

Annabeth smiled and didn't know what to say, so she said,

"You drool when you sleep." And left the room.

Later that day when Hazel, Piper, and herself were allowed to go, she told the girls what happened.

"Awww! That's so sweet!" Piper cooed.

"I know." Annabeth smiled, grabbing her purse. "For a boy who thinks he's some sorta fish Jesus, he's very sweet."

"Ooh, do you have a thing for fish boy?" Piper smirked.

"Of course not!" Annabeth blushed. "It's just like saying that Nico has a thing for Leo..."

Hazel chuckled quietly and pointed to her half-brother, who was doodling 'Nico Valdez' on his jeans. The three girls chuckled and Nico looked up, covered the area where the doodle was, and blushed.

"So you /do/ like Percy?" Hazel asked.

"I dunno." Annabeth answered honestly.

"I kinda think Frank from Room 5 is sorta cute..." Hazel admitted, blushing.

"Heh. And Jason from Room 1- total hottie." Piper said, giggling.

The three girls laughed together. They usually never talked about boys.

"Well, we can discuss this at my house.." Piper said. "And /you/ can tell me what the whole Nico Valdez thing is about." She added, glancing at Hazel.

"Will do." Hazel said, nodding.

They made their way to Piper's house and went up to her room. When they were settled, Hazel began telling them the tale behind "Nico Valdez and the obvious crush" she called it.

"I totally knew it!" Piper said. "Leo is in my "care" group and he won't shut up about what he should do."

"Well, let's just leave them to that." Annabeth said, desperate to change the subject to Percy.

"Yeah." Hazel and Piper said in unison.

"So...about Percy.." Annabeth said, trailing off.

Hazel giggled. "The other patients call him "Persassy"."

"I can see why," Annabeth laughed.

"all of the patients in my care group have some sort of sass to them. Rachel is snarky, Octavian is a diva, and Percy is... Sassy."

"Octavian a diva?" Hazel laughed.

"I know!" Annabeth said, laughing.

The three girls talked about their care groups, anxious to go back to work the next day. So far, they were really enjoying it.
