Now I know what your think, but let me set you straight, I do not like Eddie in that way. It's just something we do, he's done it forever. And after all, he is my best friend after Lana, and he was my first friend here in GoldenVille.
It was a two years ago. My first day of school. Yeah first day of school in the middle of February. I was a wreck, and it wasn't fun being the new kid. I didn't know anyone, and I didn't know the school so I got lost about five times.
Finally it was lunch. I didn't know where to sit, so I found a nice quiet little table alone. I wasn't expecting it, but suddenly there was Eddie sitting across from me.
"Hey," he said, this stranger I did not know.
"Hi," I replied hesitantly.
"You're new, I've never seen you before."
"Yeah, I was homeschooled, but now I am here."
"That's cool. I was homeschooled for a little while when I was younger," he said, "By the way, my name is Eddie."
"I am Angie."
We talked through the whole lunch period, and I found out that we had something in common. We were both outcasts. Me being new, and him being booted from the popular clique. Apparently the populars were planning a big prank on the marching band. Eddie didn't want to be a jerk, so he was outed.
For the rest of the school year it was just Eddie and me. He helped me to learn where all my classes were, and how to get to them fastest. We would hang out all the time.
He was my best friend, and he knew it too. I reminded him all the time. Then one day out of nowhere, he kissed me on the cheek.
I remember freaking out. He told me don't worry, it's just our thing. And it's been ever since. He only does it though when I've been mad at him. Because he's knows I always forgive him afterwards. Like I said, he's very smart.
It was 5:45 when I walked in the front door of my house. My family had already left for Bible Study. I hated that I missed it. I'll have to make sure I catch up.
I got some left overs out of the fridge and ate some dinner before starting my studying. I was just about finished with my homework when my family walks in.
"Hi Mom, Hi Dad," I say to my parents.
My mom sits in the chair next to me, "Angie we got a call from your principal today."
"Yes I know. And you know I had detention because I didn't want Reign to get expelled and that is why I missed Bible Study."
"Exactly," said my Dad.
"So what's my punishment gonna be?" I ask them.
My parents looked at each other and mom said, "Since this is your first time getting dentition, and you didn't technically do anything wrong. We are just gonna let you off with a warning."
"Just don't let it happen again, alright? Next time Reign does something stupid, let him get expelled," said Dad.
"I am praying he will be smart enough to not get in trouble again."
"That is a good thing to do," said Mom.
My parents got up from the table and started to do other things when my sister walks over and complains, "This isn't fair. I skip Bible Study and get grounded for a week. Angie skips Bible Study because of detention and get's nothing?"
"It's different Julia, you skipped to go to a party. Angie was helping a friend," Mom told her.
"It's still not fair."
"Life isn't fair," I say.
"Whatever," says Julia has she stomps upstairs.
Can't you tell that my sister and I get along great? Well we don't. We are polar opposites. Where as I am nice and caring, she has major attitude problems. Which has only gotten worse since she started high school this year.
And where as I am still trying to figure out where I fit in, she knows exactly where she belongs. She has her clique and isn't shy at all. Sometimes I wish I could be like her, but I'll just have to stick to being me.
I give Julia time to cool down before I make my way upstairs, to get to my room I have to walk past hers. I get by with no troubles and get ready for bed. I fall asleep within seconds and before long I am having a wonderful dream.
