When will we get our happy ending?

chapter 3

David's pov

Iv been non stop thinking about Elizabeth, I can't even consintrate on my work. My boss is moaning at me telling me to keep up, we're suppose to be painting a house but to be honest I keep on day dreaming my mind goes to Elizabeth as usual ever since we met. I know it wasn't even that long ago but I still feel something.

"I'll be back in 2" John my boss said

I quickly pulled out my phone to find a text from Elizabeth.

Hey hope your good ☺ x

I quickly replied

I'm good thanks, hope your good. I'll give you a text after work x

After I replied I put my phone back in my pocket and continued to paint the room I started on.

An hour later I was finally on my way home, I got a lift ten minutes later I was home I jumped out the van and closed the door walking to my front door I waved to my boss. I unlocked the door and my dog Jake was obviously happy to see me he kept jumping up wagging his tail.

"Hi boy did you miss me?"
He just looked at me.
I quickly let jake out the back for a pee he then came back in I closed the back garden door over, grabbing a towel I ran upstairs and put the shower on. Waiting for it to heat up I had a quick shave, I jumped in the bath the shower running down my body was nice and warm, I started washing all the paint off my arms and face. After I was finished I got out and put a towel around my waist i went to my bedroom getting out a pair of jeans clean socks, boxers an a t-shirt I quickly got dried and dressed. After I was dressed I decided to go get a drink. I looked in the fridge do see what there was to drink. A nice can of Cola would be good I though to myself I took that out an shut the fridge. Going to the couch I sat down an turned on the tele, Jake jumped up and cuddled into me. I opened my can an checked my phone while having a drink it was 4 o'clock. I decided to text Elizabeth, to see if she wanted to do something. I can't stop thinking about her I thought to myself happily.

Elizabeth's pov

We decided that we were going to go out for dinner, nothing fancy just a burger and a milkshake. Still it sounded good to me, I'm glad I'm getting to know David he seems like a nice guy. I just finished fixing my hair and doing the finishing touches to my make up. I decided to wear leggings a long top and a thin jacket, ding dong! That was the door bell I thought to myself, I grabbed my phone and my keys opening the door to a smiling David. I quickly locked my door
"Hey" David said

I looked behind him an noticed a taxi waiting

"Hi, is that our taxi"

" Yeah let's go" he said smiling at me.
We got into the taxi and drove off.
We ended up going to a nice place not that far called the flaming grill. We sat down and not long after a waitress came over and gave us some menus. I orderd a chicken burger with salad and a massive chocolate milkshake. And David order a double cheese burger with a strawberry milkshake

"I'll bring that over, when it's ready" the waitress said smiling at us
I smiled back and she walked away.

"So, how about you come over to my house some time and you can meet Jake?" David said smiling at me

"Is Jake your brother?I'd love to meet him" I said happily, he chuckled lightly "No he's my dog" he said while still laughing. I started to blush
The waitress came over ten minutes later she sat the tray down and gave us our orders.

"Enjoy" she said walking away

"Thanks"I shouted, she walked away before I even got to say thanks.

"This looks so good"David said
I looked at my plate there was a yummy looking chicken burger and a huge chocolate milkshake I took a sip of the milkshake it was the best one iv ever tasted in my life mmm
I took a bite of my chicken burger and it was so good. We continued to eat In silence,slurping away at our milkshakes every now and then. Once our bellys were full and we paid the bill we left and decided to walk to my house. It was getting kinda late I guess, it wasn't that far away my house. It was a cold night. David wrapped his arm around me and we walked to my house.

"Thanks for the food it was amazing" I said looking into David's eyes smiling

"No problem" he said smiling back at me
Once we got to my house we said our goodbyes and we planned for me to go to his house tomorrow. I was looking forward to that.
