~Chapter 1~

Alec pulled away from Magnus and stared deeply into his eyes but Alec was thrown harshly into reality when people began to crowd them. The vampire began to excitedly ramble about how the kiss he just shared had parralels to some mundane movie. He would not shut up and the people surrounding him made Alec feel as though he couldn't breathe and was slowly suffocating. At that moment Alec knew he had had enough. Rage consumed him. The desperate warlock had have to cast a spell on him so he would like him. Alec knew that it was the spell and that he wasn't really gay. The silent rage exploded and he lost his composure. He began to shout at Magnus. Alec accused him of placing a spell on him so he would be attracted to Magnus. The warlock's smile fell from his face and the color fled. Magnus was frustrated and sad. He had finally thought he got through to the shadowhunter, just to be rejected. Magnus could not take it and impatiently pulled Alexander's body close to himself. Their noses touched each other's face. They were kissing once again. Alec's knees melted and he felt an overwhelming sense of bliss. It took a moment but then Alec realized he could not enjoy this. He pulled his mouth away revealing a face that had shock and rejection written all over it. Magnus' breath hitched and he looked hopeless, nothing like the flamboyant, excitable warlock Alec knew. Alec flashed him eyes with empathy, apology, and even a bit of sadness. He immediately regained his composure and turned not being able to bear making eye contact with... Well he did not even know who Magnus was to him. Magnus noticed the expression Alec gave him before rushing away and believed at least for a moment there was hope. He thought there might be a chance Alec would be honest with his apparent feelings.

Magnus turned around and walked out of the ceremonial hall with determination. It did not tear him down that Alec had rejected him once again he had this gut feeling that there was a spark there and he knew better than to let it run away like he had done a multitude of times before.

Magnus met with Jace and Clary back at the institute to give them the news about Clary's and well he guessed Jace's mother. He found them in one of the training rooms.
"Hi Magnus" Clary greeted
"Hi I would like to make this quick there is a certain somebody I don't want to see... Not until I am better.... So this is fast" Magnus trampled over his words with urgency in his voice.
"So do you know why Alec blew up?" Clary asked.
The questioned triggered Magnus to relive the memory of Alec, confused and scared screaming at Magnus in his apartment and visibly shook and just said "Now is not the time to get into my relationship problems... So do you want the update on your mother or should I just go"
"Stay" Clary stated firmly.

The ceremonial hall emptied out and Alec caught himself looking for the flamboyant warlock. He was nowhere to be found. Alec felt guilty for making a scene but it was his only choice. His mother was there and so were members of the Clave. He called off the wedding and that was enough drama to dirty his family's name with pounds of dirt. Just imagine adding gay to that. Alec began to pick up the hall and put the chairs away. He drifted off to his own little mind. He tried not to think of the glorious High Warlock of Brooklyn and Valentine instead or the incestual relationship between Clary and Jace but couldn't. He kept thinking of Magnus and his cat eyes. Alexander knew he was not....Could not be gay. He tried to shut off his mind as best he could, but he felt a way he never thought was possible towards the warlock. He pushed the thoughts out if his head as Lydia walked in.
"Hi" she said quietly
"Hey, sorry" Alexander replied softly
"I knew you liked him... I knew you just married me to change the reputation of your family... I am honestly proud of you" she told him
"I don't like him, I don't. He...He...He is confusing and cryptic and I am mad at him. He likes me and I do not like him. Okay." Alec stammered.
"Oh. Okay."
Silence filled the room, it was suffocating yet comfortable. Lydia knew Alexander was in like with Magnus, hell all the wedding attendees knew. The way Alec left Lydia at the alter and marched with compassion and determination to the warlock covered in glitter not once breaking eye contact. The way he seemed to have discovered his confidence when the warlock made eye contact with him. The glow that illuminated Alexander's face as he kissed Magnus. The passion that Alec exhibited when he went back for more and the kissing became sloppy, open-mouthed and dirty. The grin that was plastered on Alexander's no longer scowling face after they kissed. It got to the point that Lydia felt the urge tell them to get a room due to the sheer amount of intimacy and compassion shared in that kiss. Everybody knows that him and Alec can be a thing, but Alec who is so deep in the closet he cannot even find the door anymore. The long comfortable silence had allowed Alexander to think and he felt an overwhelming feeling almost like suffocation.
"I have to go, Lydia I have to do something" Alec shouted as he ran out of the ceremonial hall.

Magnus sat on the couch of his extravagant apartment sipping vodka. He had fallen into a dark hole reliving the few moments he had spent with Alexander over and over again in his head. Magnus needed to get over Alec. The challenge was that Magnus knew Alec likes him, but Alec is in denial to it. The heartbreak got stronger after each glass of vodka. Magnus was falling and fast. After pacing his apartment and 3 more glasses he called Alec. The phone rang. Once...Twice...Three times before Alec picked up.
"Why are you calling me, Downworlder" Alec said fiercely.
"I am all liqoured up and lonely. I thought I would try to call you. You know not be lonely anymore." Magnus flirted.
"Was I not clear!! I do not want you nor will I ever. You play this cat and mouse game with me. You flirt with me after I reject you. You always look for more search for something else try to push me off my path! You confuse me and I don't...I mean I can't have feelings for you. Magnus leave me alone, please. Just leave me be! I..." Alec was cut off by the dial tone.
